When I first brought my 2 year old son to painswick, he summed it up in one word "wow". The view is great and on a good day you can see for miles.

A short walk from the road where a car can be parked, the beacon looks out over 360 degrees with superb views as far as Wales on one side and deep into the Cotswolds on the other. Worth a visit

This is a beautiful place, with views stretching for miles on a clear day. I like going up to the trig point which has an information plaque on he very top giving distances to well known local destinations and attractions.

Be wary of the golfers though! Some of them don't quite hit a straight ball!!

Its nice to get out and you do not need anything to attract you apart from natural beauty. Stunning views, lovely and quiet in the day and Painswick so close with all its beauty

It's a gentle stroll to the top with clear views across to the Severn Estuary
Not that fond of walking through golf courses, but no wayward balls when I did it
