Not if everywhere else within 50 miles is closed and you're not in the least bit concerned about the quality, quantity of the food they dish up or the standard of service.
We had a family lunch - there were 20 of us - here last Saturday. We'd booked months in advance and made our food choices 2 weeks before.
Everyone in one in our party thought that the food quality was of a poor standard and the portions meagure for the price. My son in law ordered a medium sirloin steak (£19.50) with "blue cheese butter" (£1 extra) and a small salad. He said the steak was overcooked (well done) and the blue cheese butter was just a small knob of butter dolloped ontop[.
I ordered ham, eggs and chips (£9.50) which I think was expensive for what was served (3 thin slices an egg and a few chips served in a fancy little bucket). Was it what I ordered yes, was it worth the money definitely not. Would I go back - after hell has frozen over; would I recommend it to others - not a chance.
This place all about style and location over substance. If you find yourself in Stow and want somethiung to eat (or stay) find somewhere else. This place sucks.
