Lovely well presented hot food , well cooked and attention to detail. They need to upgrade their dining chairs in the main restaurant, but the bar area is a lovely cozy place to eat with excellent service.

We stayed at the Unicorn hotel a week and ate in the restaurant almost every night and lunch when we were around Stow. The food was really delicious. The bar is a charming old room and they make a fire in the fireplace when the weather is bad. The prices are reasonable. What more could you ask for?

we always visit here for drinks and this time it seemed busier than usual which was lovely. we had drinks sat by the warm fire with a few hotel residents who we got chatting to which was nice and and then returned the next day with newspapers for a sit by the fire again and a couple of drinks. Very 'Cotswoldy' and relaxing. Nice service at the bar.

We were having a short stop-over in Stow-on-the-Wold and discovered this charming, olde worlde hotel. The staff were very helpful and friendly, there was a huge log fire, and the food was excellent. There was quite a varied menu, with special offers on two or three courses, and a specials board, but we had their Sunday roast, which was pork served with roast potatoes, carrots, parsnips and peas - it was quite a large portion! We thought it was excellent value at £29 in total for two, two-course meals. Soft drinks were a bit pricey, but then then always are - maybe we should have had some local beer. Please try this hotel the next time you are in Stow - I'm sure you'll love it.

The atmosphere was brilliant. There was a big log fire which added to the atmosphere. The food was very good and the staff were friendly with nothing too much trouble. Just right for a cold January evening.
