“Digbeth's at Stow-on-the-Wold - AVOID”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 15 June 2009

This is a perfectly pretty-looking tea-room / cafe / restaurant, in a nice setting, opposite an attractive green.

I went here for lunch last weekend with a friend. We each had a sandwich: £11 for two sandwiches. Coffee would have been as expensive as central London, so we didn't waste our money on that. The filling was OK (not great), but the bread was not fresh. At that price you expect fresh bread, don't you?

As we walked away we passed the pub, next door which had lots of people happily sitting with empty plates -- they probably had a better experience than us.

Digbeth's seems to set its prices on the assumption that tourists don't come back anyway, so there's no need to give them good food or value for money.

AVOID!!
