Thank you for taking the time to review our hotel. We are pleased you had a great weekend. Perhaps if you visit again we can tempt you to dine at Cutler's Restaurant! Although we are always very grateful for recommendations of nearby restaurants to pass on to our guests.

We hope to welcome you back to the Cotswolds very soon.

With kindest regards

Caroline & Patricia Losel

Hotel Four at Stow is a real hidden gem, I was amazed at the quality of finishing throughout. the rooms are modern yet classic, the restaurant was very stylish and the staff are all very helpful. The owners Patrisha and Caroline (sisters) were very welcoming and gave great insight into things to do locally. The restaurant was as good as you'd get in any top major city... I'd imagine people travel from miles around eat here - Top class.

I don't hesitate in recommending Hotel Four. I look forward to me next visit.

We couldn't fault the hotel from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. The location was just what we were looking for with Stowe just a short stroll away. The warm welcome we received from all the staff was second to none, which made the whole experience very relaxing. The hotel was minimalistic with great sculptures and art work on show and the bedroom was very tastefully designed.
We were a little shocked at the prices of the dinner menu, however, once we tucked into the delicious cuisine it was well worth it, the food was amazing with some great combinations of flavours, thoroughly recommend to all who stay in the hotel.

Was alittle disapointed when fist seeing the hotel which is right on the main road. But once inside we had a lovely welcome from the owner Caroline and her staff and could see straight away no expense has been spared on the renovation.
It was after 5 when we arrived but it was no problem getting a sandwich to keep our hunger at bay.
We spent two nights and ate in the resteraunt both nights and the food was fantastic with a good selection of wines.
It was not a problem with the hotel been close to the road as the bedrroms are the other side.
Would deffinatley go back.

We spent an idyllic weekend at Number four thanks to the team . Smiling efficient service ,comfortable beds, and a spotlessly clean environment. The real star however is Brian Cutlers cooking. Imaginative modern dishes expertly executed accompanied by reasonably priced wines. An excellent base for a visit to the Cotswolds

Stay across the world over 150 nights a year in hotels from the Four Seasons to the Holiday Inn Express, so a good judge of what makes a great hotel.

So, my regular Hotel du Vin in Cheltenham was full so I found this place on Tripadvisor as ever, and boy what a treat! Its amazingly easy to find on the road into Stow and is very well presented from the outside.

I was greeted by the amazingly attentive front desk staff who also upgraded me to a suite, which was a lovely room with a small lounge attached. The room decor was smart and contemporary with good quality fittings and excellent housekeeping - the place was spotless. The free internet was great and as a fussy guest, I tested them a little by asking for foam pillows - even big hotels struggle with this - but they bought two to the room within half an hour.

I decided to eat in the resteraunt, and as this was mid-week, I the hotel mostly empty, there were only a few couples eating, so the atmosphere was a little staid, but the food was amazing. The crispy Duck Salad was a sensation, and the lamb excellent. Service was superb.

After a great nights sleep, I came to breakfast and as I only had a continental breakfast, they didn't even charge me!

A first class dinner and a night in a wonderful five star suite all for £135!! I have never come across such amazing value in my years of hotel travel. Throw in the quality of the hotel and the excellent service - it would be criminal to stay anywhere else if your heading to the Stow/Cheltenham area!

My wife and I stayed at Number Four for 3 nights at the end of Sept 2010. The room was fantastic (clean, comfortable with great views onto an English meadow with tranquil Cotswald villages in background).

The hotel is approx 1 km down-hill from the nearest village (Stow on Wold) so a car to travel there is advisable. The staff were very friendly and the breakfast (included in room rate) was superb each morning (continental and cooked breakfast - your choice). Would definitely recommend this hotel!!!
