We stayed her for 1 night 2 weeks ago at the recommendation of a friend who lives in Stow-on-the-Wold. It suited us perfectly. Right in the centre of town, friendly staff, lovely little rooms with good TV (for when you're resting your feet from the country walks), tea/coffee maker, good bathroom, and ample parking. Breakfast was included and you can't fault a full English. Have already recommended this to a girlfriend headed to The Cotswolds.

Nicely situated in the centre of Stow, a lovely old house with private gardens making it quiet and peaceful. Plenty of free parking. Our room was comfortable although the bathroom was on the small side. Our evening meals in the restaurant (bar menu also available) were excellent and the menu changed daily. The wine was very good value and also available by the glass. We could have done without the loud piped music! Slightly unusually for nowadays there was no buffet selection at breakfast , but any item could be ordered off the menu. This did have a drawback as everything tended to come at once - juice, fruit, cereal (even porridge!) but this was due to over zealous young staff. Charming place to stay and we would most certainly return.

Our room, the dining room and the sitting areas were all very nice and very comfortable. The view from our room was the old church and churchyard. The breakfast was exceptional with lots of variety and love the touch of frothed milk for one's coffee. The hotel is on the town square but separated from it. by the lovely gardens on the property. I wouldn't hesitate to relax there again.

Lovely hotel, beds to die for and the breakfast was fab not arty farty food like some other hotels. As for the bells, what bells? Only heard them in the day time.

Spent Sat night away from kids. Perfect location in centre of Stow. Room good size with old fashioned decor - room and bathroom spotlessly clean. Reception greeting very friendly and helpful. Breakfast let it down a little - the 1970's style breakfast options were delivered by young staff with commensurate service skills. Did not take dinner at hotel but menu looked similar with no obvious daily menu. However, we would stay here again!

We had tried to book a room at the Kings Arms, but they were full for the weekend. We ended up at Stow Lodge instead, and what a wonderful stay it was. The rooms looked pretty frilly on the website, but ours was sweet and clean when we arrived. We were staying in the coach house, and though we were on the main street, noise was not an issue.

From check-in to check-out, every member of the staff was warm and helpful, but not pushy or invasive, which was nice. Loved our night caps in the residents' lounge, as well as The Queen's Head pub down the street.

Stow-on-the-Wold is a magical town and it was nice to be there in the off-season. We also loved Antony over at All of My Art on Digbeth Street.
