We stayed here for one night, booking at short notice over the Easter break.
The hotel is situated on the main road through stow, with only a small car park at the rear.
However, this was closed due to renovation work,so we parked a few streets away.
On arrival the building is very old and quirky, but the interior has been very tastefully renovated, with flagstone floors and leather arm chairs.
Our room was room 7,a superior room, with a lovely window seat overlooking the street.
We would have eaten here ,but the kitchen was under refurbishment,so we were recommended The Bell, just a short walk away.
Breakfast was served in the conservatory. This was the first day the kitchen was open,so we chose the full English, and smoked salmon and scrambled eggs.Perfect!
You could also have cereals, juices, toast etc. What was especially nice was the huge comb of honey!Absolutely delicious on hot buttered toast.
I would definitely go back /recommend this hotel. One night was not enough.More
