I adore this place. It has some merit to its claim of being the oldest inn in England, but even if it's not quite THE oldest, it's wonderfully quaint. The town is utterly charming with antique shops galore, but the inn itself is just as delightful.
Exposed rustic beams and stone lend a great vibe to the place, and the room was tasteful and clean. Wi-fi was good. The bed was heavenly, just fluffy and cozy as can be.
We didn't have reservations for the dining room so we enjoyed the dining menu from the airy conservatory. Rustic yet refined fare. Breakfast is included, and offers selections from a menu as well as basic continental options. Yummy stuff.
If you find yourself in the Cotswolds, make every effort to spend a night at The Porch House.
