“Lovely house, could be better though”

Lovely house, very well presented. Convenient location close to the town centre, with lots of cafés and restaurants.
We had two young children and would not recommend to other family's without child safety improvements, one stair gate was provided however a further one for downstairs is needed. There was also no fire guard.
There is a lovely large garden (not enclosed) and because the property is situated directly on a busy main road children must be supervised at all times.
The garden is beautifully maintained however quite noisy due to the busy road.

“Pleasant weekend in the Costswolds”

We had a family weekend here with our three grown-up children. The house is ideally situated, close to the centre of Stow. It is a comfortable place with a large sitting room and a separate dining room, all done in a 1930s style. Although adjacent to the busy Fosse Way, we were't disturbed by traffic noise.
The owners welcomed us with a packet of biscuits, a pint of milk and a bottle of wine. The place was well appointed with dishwasher, freezer and lots of storage space.
We used the house as a base to do some walking in the Cotswolds - there are lovely walks withing easy reach, and attractions such as the Arboratum at Batsford which are well worth a visit.

“ideal location”
Reviewed 23 February 2014 for a stay in February 2014

The location is ideal for both walking and 'touristing'. Stow is on the door step with great local shops, pubs and places to eat. There are also many great walks from the back door and a short drive away. The cottage itself has every comfort you could need with good sized rooms and great facilities.

Reviewed 14 June 2013 for a stay in May 2013

Talbot cottage is located on the edge of stow on the wold set back from the main road
The house is clean and the rooms are spacious and airy a great homely location we all settled in quickly.
Very quite location with beautiful gardens to sit and relax in the sun . A short walk takes you to the main square with shops food and dink options

Tip . The drive way is at the back of the house nod has a curved wall reverse on to the drive taking your time and you will be ok

The owners left a starter pack of milk and tea / coffee even a dog biscuit for the dog
