The perfect choice - Park House Cottage was a great find!

Park House cottage was such a great find. It was furnished beautifully and it was clear that there had been no expense spared, it didn't feel like we were staying in a rental at all. It had all the mod cons and the owners had thought of absolutely everything. The location couldn't have been better, situated a stones throw from the market square of Stow-on-the-wold but set back far enough that once inside the cottage you felt that you were really in the country.

The owners made the booking process very easy and were very welcoming, we arrived to find fresh bread, eggs and milk which was a lovely touch.

We would highly recommend this lovely cottage for a weekend break in this beautiful village, we will be returning to enjoy it one summer time. It's the perfect location to travel to other villages during the day and then to return to enjoy one of the many great restaurants in the evening.

You won't be disappointed if you book this accommodation!

Great cottage in Great location

Stayed for a full week and was very happy with the cottage and the location. Near to good pubs and reastaraunts with some takeaways too, I would recommend Jade garden just down the street.
Had the log burner going every night.

Located of the main street within a small court yard, good parking too.

We would stay there again !

Stunning property, perfectly located, quality throughout with a personal touch... what more could you want?

What a wonderful find! After searching through many different sites and trying to sift out the ’floral’ décor (which many seem to think is appealing to all) we came across ‘Park House Cottage’. No expense spared on this beautifully renovated cottage nestled in the corner of a large, mature garden. It’s location was just perfect for what we had been looking for - bang in the heart of the picturesque town of Stow-on-the-Wold but set back from the street (secure access through a side door to No.8), which gave us the peace and quiet we needed. We had an extremely warm welcome from the owners who had left us some little extras (which were so much appreciated!!) and on entering the property we felt immediately at home. Tastefully decorated with a contemporary feel yet sympathetic to its surroundings and to the age of the property, it’s just perfect! The spiral staircase could cause a problem for some people but personally I am a huge fan (though any more ‘huge’ and I may not have been!). The cottage was immaculate… fixtures, fittings and furniture all of the highest quality, (some of it original vintage) with added little personal touches which made a huge difference (I loved the little sewn hearts that dangled from the stairs as a reminder to ‘duck’ if you were over a certain height… though I didn’t need to myself). The log burner made it very cosy and the i-mac a definite plus! The walk-in shower is fabulous and a good size, as too is the bath. Both bedrooms are very cosy and comfortable, again all bed linen is of the highest quality, and the kitchen has all the necessary equipment and mod-cons you need (although at first I did find it a little hard to navigate around). Stow itself is a gorgeous little town with many restaurants and pubs within walking distance - the ‘Old Butchers’ is a must for lovers of the perfect steak (although they do far more than just that) and is literally over the road! The ‘Kings Arms’ was very welcoming but unfortunately we didn’t manage to get a table there to sample their food, we had an enjoyable drink though. The shops were bustling in readiness for Christmas when we stayed and Nick and Jenny (the owners of the cottage) have the fabulous ‘Vintage and Paint’ shop next door - an Aladdin’s cave of antiquities and for anyone seeking nostalgia of the highest quality give yourself a good half hour in here! (the early studio film lighting is amazing!). Bourton-on-the Water is well worth a visit and is just down the road (about 4 miles). Very pretty with a river running through (this was worryingly high on our visit but surprisingly hadn’t flooded unlike most in the area), this is definitely a place I would go back to in spring/summer. We also visited Broadway… a small town a little further north which was stunning and typically ‘Cotswold’… not to be missed if you are in the area! Thanks to Nick and Jenny we had a fantastic time, our only gripe is that we should have stayed for longer!! (3 nights just wasn’t enough). We will be back!!! Oh, one more thing for anyone reading… if you use sat nav to find the place it may take you to Park Rd in Cheltenham!?! I have no idea why as the postcode is correct but apparently I am not the only one this has happened to. If you put in ‘Sheep Street’ it will take you to the end of Park Road. Andrea and Andi x

Liked best: The location, the welcoming feel, the quality, in fact everything is of the same balance!
Liked least: The kitchen seemed a little difficult to navigate around with the sink and the cooker being opposite sides of the worktop, this aside the quality and workmanship of the kitchen is excellent.
