Self-contained, very well-equipped and immaculate, the cottage was everything it promised to be. On arrival, it was difficult to believe that the door opening from the footpath in a busy village street would lead to a lovely, quiet garden and a pretty cottage, a very comfortable retreat at the end of a day of exploring the Cotswolds. In the stand-alone cottage and garden we felt as if we were miles away from the bustling village on the other side of the door. We loved the interior design and decor; both the cottage and the garden have been creatively designed to complement the original building on the property, now the owners' house, and to echo the ambience of the historic village. A wide range of excellent cafes and restaurants is within easy walking distance but eating "at home" is an attractive option! We appreciated our hosts' friendly and unfussy approach to hosting and the generous provision of everything needed for a first breakfast. We highly recommend Park Cottage
What a wonderful time we had staying at Park House Cottage! The location of this charming home is perfect...next door to a bookstore and on the same street as many lovely shops and restaurants. We were able to walk to dinner each evening as well as hike picturesque paths to other nearby towns. It was such a treat to find some key staples waiting for us in the refrigerator...delicious bread, butter, and eggs. It seems that every detail was covered and we were able to enjoy the sights of Stow-on-the-Wold. We will happily recommend Park House Cottage and hope to visit again someday.
The cottage perfectly met our needs. It was everything that had been promised. Stow is a great village to visit. Everything you need is in walking distance. We. even had warm sunny weather. Nicholas was very responsive to my needs.
Our seventh visit in all and our fourth since the Carrs bought the cottage. Absolutely first class facilities which allied to the friendly and welcoming manner of our hosts added up to another enjoyable break. We will definitely be back.
Park House Cottage is in a perfect and quiet location in the centre of the town. Although parking was a bit difficult at times we always found somewhere to park really near.
The cottage is furnished to a high standard and is extremely well equipped with lots of personal touches. The bedrooms were very cosy and the beds had very good
mattresses, the bathrooms were fine, too.
Downstairs we felt a bit cold the first days, but the friendly and helpful owners told us where to put the central heating up and had also provided a rather big starter kit of logs for the fireplace which worked very well and made the large downstairs kitchen/dining area/sitting area more comfortable.
Arriving at the cottage there was some food for breakfast in the fridge which was appreciated.
All in all we had a very pleasant time in Park House Cottage and can imagine that it is even nicer in late spring and summer when you can also sit outside and enjoy the gorgeous garden.
We can definitely recommend it as a perfect base to explore the beautiful Cotswolds.
Great location, beautiful cottage. We were travelling with a 7 month old and my parents and it was spacious enough for all of us
