“Chilled week”
Reviewed 29 August 2016 for a stay in August 2016

Excellent cottage.
Fitted our needs perfectly for a chilled week in the Cotswolds.
Cottage has everything you need and more.
The info / library was a welcome bonus.
All in all a very pleasant stay in a quirky cottage.
A few minutes walk up hill to nearby Stow where the town has everything you need.
Excellent base for venturing further afield.
Weather was excellent throughout our stay. Which helped.
Next door neighbours do have access through the garden and passed the conservatory which wasn't a problem but could be for some people?
Facilities are good. Wifi is good.
Garage is excellent!!
No need for the log fire this week but if needed everything is there for you.
Would definitely return in the future.
Thank you

Thank you so much for your review.Just to clarify that a couple who live in London own the cottage. They do not rent it out but do use it themselves some weekends. Of course in these 18th Century cottages in The Cotswolds this was a regular arrangement! I am so pleased that you had a good stay, chill out again sometime!
Best wishes, Mary

This was the ideal spot to stay in Stow, very clean and everything that you need was provided it was only a short distance to the center of stow and all the places to eat we had our morning meals at the property and one evening meal. there. Mary Malick called on the 1st night to see if everything was ok We will definitely come back again to the Cotswolds and hope that we can stay there

“A Perfect Stay”
Reviewed 19 July 2016 for a stay in July 2016

A lovely cottage in the quiet and peaceful village of Maugersbury, but within walking distance of Stow. The cottage was very spacious and had a addition of the conservatory, downstairs cloakroom and nice garden for relaxing in. The cottage is ideally located to explore all areas of the Cotswolds and most places we visited were only about ½ hour drive away. There is a secure garage and an extra parking space right outside the cottage. The owner, Mary, answered our queries promptly and gave clear instructions for our arrival. A perfect stay.

“Perfect accommodations for a visit to the northern Cotswolds!”
Reviewed 8 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

This lovely self catering cottage was centrally located, yet private. It was historically charming, yet modernly updated. The owners were responsive and attentive to detail, providing quick responses to questions. Modern conveniences such as the washer/dryer, dishwasher, stove, oven and microwave made it seem just like home for this American couple. The conservatory facing the garden was a respite for morning coffee and afternoon tea. The bed was very comfortable and the modern shower was a welcome. Thanks for sharing your home.

“Cosy Cotswold Cottage”
Reviewed 30 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

We enjoyed this peaceful cottage, especially the log fire and comfortable furnishings, which has all the equipment you could possibly want. The situation is excellent being less than a mile from the centre of Stow. The conservatory and garden would be perfect if visiting in one of the summer months. The library is well stocked with hundreds of books and loads of maps and tourist guides. If you book this cottage you will not be disappointed. Thank you, Mary, for allowing us to share your holiday home which we will no doubt try and visit again soon.

“Almost perfect”

Lovely traditional cotswold stone cottage in the beautiful village of maugersbury. Everything you needed for a self catering week was supplied in the cottage. There was building work adjacent to the cottage but this did not affect our stay in fact the noise was negligable. Lovely walks close by and only a 10 minute walk to stow on the wold, with all the town has to offer. Conservatory at the back of the property was a nice place to have your meals. I would have given a 5 star rating but for a couple of issues. The seating in the lounge was not adequate for 4 adults, one small 2 seater settee and 2 very small single chairs not big enough for 6 foot adults. Water pressure in shower was also very poor. Two small problems that can easily be put right and gain the 5 stars.

“Wonderful Stay at Lovely Place”
Reviewed 6 August 2015 for a stay in May 2015

We stayed at the cottage during the half term of my son and his friend who are having public exams after the holidays. There are plenty of space for the boys to stretch out at the cottage for their studies. The separate dining table at the conservatory is just wonderful to them. It is convenient to have a toilet downstairs. The cottage enjoys the best of both world, quiet and peaceful on its own but conveniently located for me and my wife to make visits to other Cotswold towns nearby in less than an hour's drive. There are a lot of information pamphlets in the study room for us to plan for short walks. Tesco Superstore is just minutes of drive away and there are a lot of interesting shops and restaurants in the Stow-of-Wold town which are worth visiting. We enjoy very much our stay at the cottage and are thankful to Mary for all her advice before the trip. Will visit again.
