“Amazing location”
Reviewed 9 April 2018 for a stay in January 2018

Lovely, cosy Half Pint cottage was exactly what I was looking for. Fifteen minutes walk from Stroud or five minutes by bus. You can enjoy a great meal at The Bell Inn or do your shopping at Sainsburys, which are both very close by. The perfect location for discovering The Cotswolds, which you have a lovely view of from the bedroom window. Amazing!

be prepared for the stairs if you are not good on your feet especially in the night. The shower is adequate but it is a small sink so cosy in the corner if you are washing down.
noisy on B4066 at rush hour
the Bell is great and views over stroud

“Lovely, well equipped, cottage in a fantastic location”
Reviewed 11 April 2016 for a stay in March 2016

I hugely enjoyed my time at the cottage and had a real feeling of not wanting to leave on my last day! The owners have made a big effort to ensure it's a really cosy, easy, place to stay, as well as being a very attractive little cottage. I've been to the Cotswolds before so had already seen most of the traditional places. However, despite being in a lovely village setting, the cottage is also incredibly convenient for the M5 and M4, so I was able to travel to Bath, Cheddar Gorge, the Newport Wetlands in south Wales, Gloucester and the Forest of Dean, all within around an hours drive or less. My advice is book it, it's impossible to imagine you'd regret it.

“Cute, comfortable cottage in the heart of rural Gloucestershire”
Reviewed 23 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Firstly, let me say that I wish we had booked a longer stay. Two nights was far too short a trip. The cottage was beautifully immaculate, quite small but perfectly formed! The garden outside was a dream, beautifully maintained and somewhere comfortable to relax surrounded by buzzing bees. I would re-book Half Pint Cottage in a heartbeat.

My only advice would be that the stairs in the cottage are extremely narrow, steep and winding so best avoided by those with limited mobility.

“Cozy Cottage”
Reviewed 8 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Have just spent a fantastic five days in Half Pint Cottage, you will have everything you need at the cottage whatever time of the year you visit. Wonderfull views from the top window especially as the sun sets, a lovely comfortable bed with beautifull clean bedding & towels. The beautifull little garden where you can have breakfast or evening drinks outside or in the summerhouse. A great little kitchen where you have every thing you need oven microwave hob dishwasher washing machine and instructions to use. The cozy living room with a lovely little window seat to enjoy the view. Right next store a great little pub The Bell with a great view. The cottage is very clean and well cared for and we revived a very warm welcome and a lovely Victoria Sponge Cake a lovely touch, Thank You Joan & Brian for sharing your lovely cottage with us and that wonderfull view over Selsley Common.

Regards Susan Paul & Lola (the dachsund)

“Lovely place in a great location”
Reviewed 28 May 2015 for a stay in May 2015

This is a lovely, comfortable, up-to-date cottage. Everything was in perfect condition with complete instructions for all appliances (which is a great help for Americans trying to use British appliances). There is a hugh Sainsburys down the hill — perfect for shopping — and a great pub — The Bell — up the hill. Yes, there are stairs and parking is up the hill, but neither created any problem. We loved walking the canal and visiting the Selsley Church. The nearby towns are great. Essentially it is perfectctly situated for visiting almost the entire Cotswold area — from Chipping Camden and Cirencester to Gloucester and Dursley.

Very well appointed cottage, pleasingly presented and quick to get warm and cosy.
The bedroom has a very comfy bed and nice cotton linen was provided.
