Wendy and her team serve a large choice of coffees. The snack lunch was well presented. We ate outside overlooking the lock. The downside is there needs to be more tables for diners.

Having been turned away from two places it was great to find such a relaxed, dog friendly, laid back place for breakfast. The staff were apologetic about the bacon having not arived yet, but it was only a matter of minutes before bacon butties, tea, coffee, bagels arrived with chatty friendly service. Lovely, would definitely go back again.

As an occasional customer I took a friend to visit on a busy Friday morning to be told to take a seat and then to be ignored for over 30 minutes! Do insist on placing your order on arrival - or you might be forgotten.

I have to say I am amazed at this review.. My son remembers you coming in, as do I. He said to you to take a seat as we were extremely busy for a Friday. He said he would let you know shortly to come to counter to give your order. There was obviously a breakdown in communication which resulted in you waiting around. You would have seen how busy we were! Everyone was happy..

This is a great cafe with home made food including their own hams and roast chicken. They have now removed the ugly lock barriers and replaced them with really nice ones. Well done. Well worth a visit.

Child and dog friendly, good food and drinks. What more could you want?
We have been visiting here for a few years and really enjoy the location next to the canal (which is being restored) and friendly staff. Also the beer, from Stroud Brewery, is excellent. Cakes are to die for!
