We serve real food and great and simple dishes all year round. Our menu is tailored to what is seasonally available and abundant with traceability at its heart. Our main focus is to use fresh and where possible local ingredients which are cooked well and served in a warm and friendly atmosphere created with the help of our two open fires. The Stirrup Cup has a lovely secret garden at the back of the pub for enjoying the summer evenings, it really is the perfect place to sit and watch the world go by over a glass of wine or a beer or two.We are proud to be located in the very pretty village of Bisley set in the Cotswold countryside, come along and see us at The Stirrup Cup Bisley today.

“A fabulous Saturday dinner”
Reviewed 24 March 2014

What a great place. We visited on Saturday evening, I had requested a table near the fire and there it was. Philip the landlord was our very genial host, making us welcome and taking all of the effort out of the evening. Relax and enjoy was his message. The bar is friendly and warm, the menu was great - lots we liked. I liked that it wasn't too extensive which always suggests it's being made not simply bought in. This was proved by great starters and main courses, bags of flavour and well presented. Will we be back - well if it isn't full then yes we will. I am already planning a return trip with some friends of ours who live overseas, what a lovely find and not far from our own village - we are very envious we don't have the Stirrup Cup in our village!!! Thank you Philip for an excellent evening, very much appreciated.

“Our lovely local”
Reviewed 22 March 2014

We are particularly lucky to have The Stirrup Cup as our local and to be able to enjoy Philip's land-lording skills and Alison's excellent cooking. Since they took over we have never had a duff meal, everything is excellent and nothing is too much trouble for them. From quick Saturday lunches for two, to a big birthday buffet for eighty - good food, beautifully presented and with efficient service. Philip and Alison not only offer good value for money, but also support the community and its traditions in many ways. No matter whether you are a local or a visitor, there's a warm welcome and good food and drink at this pub.

“Fantastic”
Reviewed 21 March 2014 via mobile

We were a little lost looking for a certain location, we stopped here to get lunch and the kitchen was closed by 20 minutes and they still made the exception to serve us. We went for the sandwiches. And we're quickly sold an extra portion of chips to go with our meals. In hind sight on that occasion they were not needed. The food was plentiful without the chips and taste unrivalled! That being said there is always room for a cheeky pudding so we plucked for the brownie. Both of us were amazed by the size and good presentation of the sweet placed in front of us. The ice cream that accompanied the brownie was fantastic as well. As we were paying we described the problem of trying to find our walk location. The owner quickly grabbed a map of the local area and let us calibrate our selfs before saying thank you as we walked out the door. All in all will return, and can see why "booking is advised" for busy days eg Sunday. Will 100% return!

“Great Food, Exceptional Service ”
Reviewed 16 March 2014 via mobile

The Stirrup Cup is a lovely pub that offers a good range of food. We visited here one Saturday afternoon and had the pulled pork sandwich and the pork meatballs followed by sticky toffee pudding and white chocolate cheesecake. The food tastes deliciously home made and local suppliers are used. You can not fault the service, the staff are very attentive and helpful. An excellent country pub!
