“Brilliant house right in the town centre”
Reviewed 4 December 2016 for a stay in November 2016

We were a group of ladies who work together, and go away now and then for a weekend. We have stayed at many places but this was the best. Being right in the town centre meant that we didn't need to drive any where. We could come back with shopping and go straight back to the shops if we wanted! Farmers market was superb. We had a lovely time and would be very happy to stay again.

“Well equipped apartment but take earplugs!”
Reviewed 11 October 2015 for a stay in October 2015

The apartment is in a such a good central location and really nicely furnished and equipped, but it is ruined by an extremely loud nightclub over the road and the constant shouting of its punters :( If you are looking to stay make sure you take earplugs!

Owner lovely to deal with and they have done a lovely job of making the apartment cosy so it real shame about the noise that they are not in control over.

“Central location. Good value. Pity about the nightclub next door.”
Reviewed 1 September 2015 for a stay in August 2015

The apartment is in a good, Central Stroud location. It's a good size and a great combination of old (open beams, wonky floors etc) and new (well appointed kitchen for example). The lack of hot water situation that other reviewers have mentioned was sorted during our stay. The only issue was the noise from the nightclub over the road - the music itself was audible inside the apartment but wasn't too bad. However there is a lot of noise from people leaving the club. We were there on the bank holiday when the Stroud fringe festival was on so maybe the noise is less on a normal weekend. I wouldn't recommend this for people travelling with small children (as we were) due to the nightclub but otherwise think this is a good, value for money property.

“Medieval by name and Medieval amenities”

Great location from which to explore the Cotswolds although Stroud lacks any real points to highlight. Apartment is spacious and upon 1st impressions has most mod cons although this is where the Medieval description becomes to close to reality !
Tepid water temps and weak shower pressure make washing and shaving an earlier century experience - curtains that let 100% of light in - a window held open with an old chair spindle - and most off putting an upstairs neighbour who incessantly paces across what is your ceiling late into the night and thus the creeks and groans of the floorboards above resemble a medieval ghost !!! By no means a disaster but lots to consider such as value for money ???

“Lovely area and nice accomodation”
Reviewed 10 February 2015 for a stay in February 2015

I booked the Medieval Hall after having been let down by a few rental owners, and Jane was so lovely to deal with and provided all the information I needed to make a decision.
We brought three cars with us for the weekend, parking in the car park wasn't a problem as its so cheap (£2.50!) and we only had to pay for the Saturday as Sundays and after 5pm is free.
Had to wait a while for the loading bays behind the property to become available as it seemed people were using them for well over an hour, most likely as free parking to go shopping.
Access to the property was great, and the flat was so warm when we arrived which was lovely.
Definitely medieval with the slope of the floors in the flat, we didn't mind as it was charming but may deter some people and wasn't included in the description.
The bedrooms were all laid out ready for us and included bath robes and slippers which was a nice touch of luxury. Bathrooms were a great quality, I would note that neither have locks on the doors which when the property sleeps 10 is a bit of a nightmare! I'd also note that the showers didnt seem to be able to function at the same time, so negotiations were needed.

I would agree with previous reviews that the lounge area was quite dark, a few more overhead lights would have made such a difference.
Also lack of "welcome" guide as i'd put it, explaining heating/dishwasher/washing machine etc, would be quite helpful.
Overall very lovely and such a great location.
