Unique is an oft used word.
Staying at Oak House is one of those few times when it is not overstating the case.
The website, photos and write-ups just don't do it justice.
You aren't staying in a hotel, a B&B, a guest house, or any other catch-all titled way.
You are immersing yourself in a home that has been lavishly created from the passion that Gary and Nic for all things beautiful.
If you don't want to, just don't leave the place throughout your stay - you don't need to. Every part of every room entertains, interests and fascinates and there are stories to go with everything.
With Nic and Gary (not forgetting Woody! Woof.) you feel welcome in a warm, "new friend" way. There's no corporate face, no standard patter, just genuine, down to earth enthusiasm and niceness.
Take a nose around and you'll soon start to wonder why you chose the last off-white tin that you splashed on the living room wall. We have.
My wife and I have been privileged to have stayed in all sorts of places all over the world, but this is truly memorable.
I have come away with very happy memories of a lovely part of the world, ideas for our own house, (though it will never come close) and a huge smile whenever I think about our time away.
Truly great places are those that inspire emotion. Oak House is one of those.
Stay there if you possibly can.

Room Tip: Oak House is set in a quiet square of a quiet town. We snooped round all the rooms as we were a little early. (& it's a house - not a hotel!) Frankly, they are all amazing in different ways. We were in the Cavalier which is the most lavish and worth every penny, but so is every other room.

The photos don't do this place justice, it is amazing! The B&B is worthy of a tour and a place on the map in itself. The owners are fantastic and wonderful, kind, knowledgable and couldn't be more helpful. Please go, please please go you will not regret it!

Room Tip: All rooms are good - you cannot go wrong!

My partner and I usually travel for birthdays, special occasions etc and the trip to the Oak House was my birthday present (birthday was in January). We stayed in the Cavalier Suite - it was a truly fabulous suite and comes highly recommended.

The whole house has been lovingly put together, we found out, over many years and it shows. The mix of furnishings is fantastically eclectic and the longer you look the more you see.

We loved the dining room with it's luxurious and funky feel - it made breakfast an occasion, not just a meal. The food was pretty good too :) - thanks Nicola and Gary - we had a ball.

In addition there were some great recommendations for stuff to do. We had a fab meal at The Chef's Table in Tetbury which is a five minute walk so no worrying about a few glasses of wine and driving.

I recently booked this guest house for 1 night as part of a surprise for my husbands 30th Birthday and we both loved our stay there. If you are looking for a gorgeous house to stay in, filled with lovely things, gorgeous and cosy rooms, great breakfast and super lovely and helpful hosts then you will be very happy with the Oak House. Seriously this is one of the best places I have stayed in the UK.

The Guest house is in a great location situated in walking distance from lots of restaurants and shops, perfect if you don't want to be driving to a location for dinner. We had the Cavalier room which had one of the best showers ever and a super comfy bed. parking is really easy and Tetbury is a great place to explore the rest of the Cotswolds.

Gorgeous town house with incredibly luxurious interiors, and helpful hosts. Felt more like a Boutique Hotel than a B&B. Lovely comfortable bedrooms and delicious breakfast. A great place to unwind.
