Fantastic nights stay in this beautiful hotel. Our room was seperate from the main hotel building almost like a small cottage but housed four rooms,2 on the ground floor and 2 on the 1st floor. Everything you would expect from a good hotel. Tea making facilities. Flat screen TV. Toileteries. The only thing missing was a minibar but that didn't bother us. Nothing was too much trouble. The staff are a credit to the hotel with never ending smiles and non stop hospitality. Would definitely return.

Yet another faultless stay at this lovely hotel. Beautiful room fantastic service and great food. We highly recommend a visit.

We especially love the friendly staff who go out of their way to make your stay relaxed and comfortable.

Room Tip: Rooms at the back of the hotel are quieter.

Thank you for your very kind comments about our hard working staff who constantly amaze me with their capacity to give almost round the clock service with good grace and a cheerful attitude. I know we are very lucky to have them. We all look forward to welcoming you back to the Hare again in the future and trust that you will continue to find it a 'home from home'.

This is the second time I have stayed at the hotel with work colleagues. The room was excellent and despite being at the front of the hotel did not have as much road noise as I'd expected. We had a meal in the private dinning room and the staff were really good at timing the serving of the courses with the discussions we were having. I love the Molton Brown toiletries. Overall this is a really nice hotel and I would recommend to anyone.

Room Tip: Maybe have a room at the back of the hotel if you are sensitive to road noise.

It is very good to hear from someone who was visiting the hotel on business, so thank you very much for taking the time to write a review. I am pleased that you found the service was well timed and discreet. I will pass your comments on to the Restaurant team, they try really hard to match the style of the service to our guests needs, so they will be delighted with your praise.

Before arrival we had been warned that there were weddings on both days so we requested a room as far away as possible. Our silkwood room was spacious, very clean and well equipped, and the noise was minimal. The bath was huge and the bed very comfortable. The breakfast both mornings was superb, with a very friendly and efficient waitress. We ate in the restaurant on saturday night and the food was plentiful and tasty. There were a few wedding guests enjoying themselves quite loudly until their disco started, but the well trained staff made every effort to ensure we had a enjoyable evening. Well done!

Room Tip: Ask for a room away from the function area

Thank you very much indeed for your positive review. We do worry on occasions when Wedding celebrations become rather enthusiastic, but generally, guests are very kind and inclined to live and let live. It is very good to hear that you enjoyed all aspects of the hotel and that you were able to achieve real relaxation.

Upon arrival, we received a room upgrade and were accommodated in a very pretty room - spacious and comfortable, great shower and ensuite. The grounds of the hotel are lovely and accompanied by our dog, we had a lovely stroll around the gardens. Breakfast was very good but eating in the bar the previous evening, was a little disappointing. My husband had the lamb shank with trimmings which was excellent but the steak ciabatta was really disappointing - not much steak, too much bread and the onions failed to materialise. Despite drawing attention to this omission - an apology all that was offered when perhaps a small dessert might have been appropriate given this was not a cheap option! Shame because other than this, it was a lovely visit. Would I go again? Yes. Would I eat in the bar? Probably not.

Thank you for your review. I am very pleased that you enjoyed the hotel on the whole, but so sorry that you found the Steak Ciabatta lacking. It is such a shame when you have looked forward to eating something, as you say , disappointing. I do make sure our chefs get this feedback. Painful as it may be for them, it is so important that they understand the effect these mistakes have.
I do hope we have the pleasure of welcoming you back to the hotel again in the future.
