“Little Gem in the Cotswolds, gorgeously quaint cottage, stunning location and warm welcome”
Reviewed 27 September 2015 for a stay in September 2015

Attending a wedding nearby, we stayed a night at this beautiful little cottage. It is cosy and homely and Rebecca our host was so lovely and welcoming. A tasty breakfast to see us on our way. We were so taken by the charms of this little treasure we will definitely be returning. We will be recommending to all our friends ❤️

My husband and I have just got back from a nights stay in this charming cottage, from the moment Rebecca opened the door we were made very welcome. We had are own room to sit and watch TV or relax in , upstairs a bedroom and a bathroom with a large bath or a shower to choose from. Breakfast was excellent and you had plenty of choice all in all a great place to stay, thank you Rebecca for making are time with you so good .

“Perfect cottage; lovely host.”
Reviewed 19 August 2015 for a stay in August 2015

Rebecca has the good fortune to live in a beautiful cottage in the heart of the equally beautiful Gloucestershire countryside. That she is both tremendously accommodating and truly sympathetic to the disorganised – and, latterly, slightly hungover – traveller is the good fortune of anyone who stays there. Also provides a lovely breakfast. And makes excellent coffee.

Our lovely landlady Rebecca made us feel at home from the very first moment we stepped into her gorgeous cottage. We had the Garden room with doors leading out onto the garden and the chickens and upstairs a private bedroom with the comfiest bed and private bathroom with a huge bath!
Breakfast every morning was lovely, plenty to choose from and good portions! Rebecca has a very extensive knowledge of the area and recommended plenty of places for us to visit and we're so glad we did, can especially recommend Castle Combe.
It didn't feel like a B&B it felt like you were staying with your friend, will definitely be going back xxx

“Very enjoyable stay.”

My main aim for booking a few days at this property was to enjoy a few days in the peace and comfort of the Gloucestershire country. I certainly achieved this. The accommodation consisted of a self contained flat, comprising a sitting room, bedroom and bathroom. It was very clean and comfortable, with a good view of the back garden, where chickens were kept. Rebecca, the landlady put herself out to ensure my stay was enjoyable and provided excellent breakfasts, which set me up for the day ahead.
Shipton Moynes is a small village, and public transport is almost non existent. Some people might find this a problem, but I was fully aware of this, and enjoyed the opportunity to explore the beautiful surrounding country. There is a very good pub next to Rose Cottage, which serves a wide range of food, and drinks. It is also a great place to enjoy the atmosphere of a country village.
Visitors should be aware that this is a remote location, and mobile telephone signals are not too good, and don't expect superfast broadband. However, wi-fi is available in the cottage, and at the next door pub.
I look forward to a further visit, or visits to this property, which I am sure will be equally enjoyable.

Liked best: Location, peace and quiet, attention to detail.
Liked least: Lack of mobile phone signal, and fast broadband. But remember this is the middle of the country!

“Charming, friendly, beautiful area”
Reviewed 6 August 2014 for a stay in July 2014

What a beautiful discovery in the middle of the Cotswolds. We had a great stay for three nights. The Cottage is charming, clean and with a big bathroom and living area going out to a lovely garden far more than a bed with breakfast. With Rebecca a very kind and helpful person this stay was our favorite in England.

“Great cosy cottage, fully recommend!”
Reviewed 25 May 2014 for a stay in May 2014

We fully recommend this cottage to anybody. We stayed one night & had a lovely relaxing stay. Rebecca the landlady was fantastic and couldn't be anymore helpful & friendly. The breakfast was very tasty & involved eggs straight from the garden where chickens are kept. The cottage is spacious & the extra sitting room is a real bonus giving it a real feeling that you have rented a whole cottage.
