Description: The Gumstool Inn is a traditional English country pub - cosy, cheerful, friendly and warm! Even better than that, it's set within the grounds of Calcot. Even better than that, you can get to it through the main house, so you don't even have to stray out into the cold to get there. On warmer summer days you can dine alfresco at tables in the sunshine, with a cool drink in hand, or relax with friends for a light summer meal in our charming courtyard. When the weather's a little chilly, you can venture indoors and watch our chefs prepare delicious meals from our fireside grill. Serving real ales and excellent food, The Gumstool is always welcoming. Stop in for a quick drink, linger over a lazy lunch or tuck into a hearty supper. Top quality, seasonal, local produce is one of the reasons why our food tastes so good! We serve plum tomato & caramelised tart, steaks, crispy beer-battered cod and chunky, satisfyingly melt-away chips. You'll get a warm welcome and your children are taken care of with food that we know they'll love, and you know they'll eat. See you soon! Our menus and ingredients change regularly and throughout the seasons. Feel free to call 01666 890391 with any questions on our menus, ingredients or bookings.

We came here for a family friends birthday lunch and were not disappointed.

The food is really good, great selection on the specials and set menus. I really enjoyed the food as it was well above your average pub food and the portions were a decent size without being overwhelming.

Service and staff were excellent I could not fault it.

Will definitely be returning and recommending!

Another visit to Gumstool Inn this time in a party of eight. Service was good as usual and the food was interesting and well presented. Don't expect the meal to be cheap but we feel we had value for money and we all enjoyed our evening.

Came for lunch for multiple celebrations - anniversary, birthday, belated Father's Day etc. not the cheapest but had a great time and very good service. We were quite a big group - 6 adults and 2 small children.

Lovely food - salads, roast beef and lamb, fish. Pies and chicken. Best thing by far was twice cooked chees and smoked haddock soufflé. Lovely grounds to walk around and relax.

Tip - go for twice cooked cheese and haddock soufflé (£8) plus a salad #amazing

This was our second visit to dine here. Lovely setting and dining in the conservatory. Food always good and service excellent. Nice glass of Proseco in the bar before dining with friends. We look forward to returning and possibly staying the night.

A lunch at the Gumstool saved our weekend in Tetbury. After a hellish experience in the town on a Friday night we opted for Saturday lunch at the Gumstool. The setting is idyllic, staff wonderfully attentive and polite even though we arrived late just as they were taking final food orders and the good was exceptional. Loved the devilled kidneys and the whole plaice. If only we lived nearer.
