“Best Anniversary stay!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 September 2013

My husband and I booked our stay at Zensa Lodge for our 1st Wedding Anniversary. It was unbelievably magical! We were there during winter and our room, the dining room and some of the other rooms have fireplaces in them, which made them extra cozy and romantic. The place is clean, homely and warm and the food was great. The personal treatment and honesty are the things that make this place stand out from the rest. Hein and Cyrille treat their guests with warmth, kindness and add their own personal touch to the place. They are great hosts!! We will definitely recommend this place as well as return for another anniversary!

Room Tip: Ikaya 1 has a fireplace and amazing bathroom

We have just returned from a night at Zensa Lodge and had a wonderful time with such stunning hosts , just a pity we didn't have more time to spend in their company , would have loved to have witnessed some of their musical talents . A wonderful evening followed by a hearty breakfast , look forward to return for one of their musical evenings .

We stayed at Zenza for 2 nights in Ikhaya iv. The room was lovely and the people warm and friendly. Hein (who is a world renowned jazz artist) treated us with some of his music, The whole weekend was just perfect.

We stayed at Zensa Lodge for 2 nights using a Daddy's Deals voucher, and felt completely welcome by the warmth and kindness of Hein, Cyrille and their adorable daughter Lulu.
I would recommend eating at the lodge, as Hein is quite 'THE' chef. His butternut soup was among the best we have ever eaten.
Our room was clean and beautifully decorated. The lodge itself had many amenities, amongst them, the jacuzzi and sauna which were a treat in the cold winter weather.
Even as locals, we would recommend going up the Cape Point for the short hike, the views are breathtaking.

We stayed at Zensa Lodge for 2 nights. We were greeted by Cyril, who showed us around and made us feel very welcome. The room was comfortable and very spacious. Breakfast was exceptional. Fresh fruit, fry-up of all the goodies you could ask for as well as fresh breads, proper freshly juiced juices and pancakes. Sadly I had no space left for the pancakes, but had some on the second morning. I do not know when their official check out time is, but when I asked what time we needed to leave, I was graciously told that we could stay as long as we liked. So we spent till lunchtime on our last day wallowing in the Jacuzzi. Thank you for a memorable weekend.

Such a wonderful overnight stay in Scarborough with Hein and Cyrille. It was like we had known them for years - talk about being made to feel welcome! Do yourself a favor and ask Hein a bit about his history - a star in your midst! Serene is a wonderful way to describe Zensa Lodge.

Hein and Cyrille are warm and welcoming. Their establishment retains a home-like feel, distinguished by its exceptional quality, spaciousness, refinement and versatility. There is an easy-going sense about this place that is well suited to its location in this quaint sea-side town. The space could accommodate us as families with kids, to lovers with romantic intent, to a community of people gathering for a celebration. And the needs of each were graciously met. The pride Hein and Cyrille place in being protectors and guardians of this beautiful property meant that they were dedicated to providing top-class service, attention to detail and lavish abundance. Many thanks!!
