This is one of my favourite beaches in the Cape Town area albeit a good distance from Cape Town itself - effectively the last beach on the Atlantic side before reaching the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve.
I could easily spend an afternoon here admiring the wonderful views. The views to the right, up to Misty Cliffs are absolutely fantastic on a lovely sunny day. There is also a nice walk along the beach to the left. Beach seems to be popular with the locals.
There is a good sized car park and toilets.
Head north on the M65 to the very close Misty Cliffs - some of the loveliest views you will see anywhere. The spray from the pounding waves somehow hovers over the cliffs giving the impression of mist.
A visit to Scarborough beach/Misty Cliffs is a must for anyone who loves wonderful beach views/scenery in quite an isolated setting.
