The true hallmark of quality is what happens when something goes wrong, as it did on my visit to Lords of the Manor. I raised the issue with Paul Thompson, General Manager and he has come up with a very, very satisfactory solution. Everything at Lords of the Manor is done with consummate style. From the moment you arrive when somebody is there to greet you before you are even out of the car, and your luggage is taken straight to your room. A very nice touch is the hand written letter from Paul Thompson welcoming you to Lords of the Manor. Light refreshments can be taken in the Drawing Room overlooking a very pleasant garden and the Cotswold countryside, oh and if you want to take a walk after it has been raining then Wellington boots are provided for you.
Water pressure in the en suite was impressive so one didn't have a long wait while the bath filled.
Dining this is a Michelin Star Restaurant with a wine list to compliment it and excellent service, and do sample the cheese board, the Cashel Blue in particular is to die for.
It would be possible to run out of superlatives at this hotel, will I return? Oh yes definitely.More
