We based ourselves here during a four-day visit to the Cotswolds. Loved it! The cottage is exactly as described - comfortable, with good amenities. Katy is a friendly and helpful host.
A delightful place and area to stay fantastic scenery great walks and pubs. Only the disabled facilities need up grading.
It's everything you see in the pictures. Great location - tranquil, bucolic and very 'chocolate box'. The cottage served our family really well - young children and elderly parents with mobility issues catered for. It was also very clean and so cosy when the drizzle set in. Thanks Katy we had a great time!
I would like to thank Katy and Julian for their help with our booking and needs. The cottage is great, very large and the kitchen with anything a foodie might want. I got to do some terrific roasts ...
The rooms very large and quiet and the beds, pillows etc great.
We travel with a girl on a wheelchair and the cottage was perfect with the downstairs bedroom and bathroom and the access is great (plus the fact that the room has a fireplace)
the village is beautiful and near great small villages and town.
We spent a great week and will definitely recommend the cottage because it had everything one may need, including a breakfast basket in case you get there late.
Loved the fireplace in the living room which comes with logs.
the only thing I missed was the shower downstairs only had a head shower but the bathtub upstairs is great.
Thanks again for everything
Live in the Cotswolds like a local. Upper Slaughter is a beautiful location with stone cottages. It is very peaceful and great for walks and enjoying the scenery. You need a car as the nearest town with shops is 5-10 minutes drive.
The cottage is gorgeous in every way. The best word to describe it, is idyllic. The owner had thought of everything to make our stay amazing, even down to some groceries in the fridge and games in the cupboard for our boys. Upper Slaughter is a quiet village, just perfect for exploring the nearby towns. We loved walking Wardens way to Lower Slaughter. Burford, Stow-on-the-Wold, Chipping Campden and Bourton-on-the-Water were our favorites.
