“Fantastic retreat”
Reviewed 3 March 2015 for a stay in March 2015

A beautifully appointed cottage buried in the Cotswold Slaughters. It would be difficult, if not impossible, to find any fault. Spotlessly clean. Highly recommended.

“Perfect - again”
Reviewed 31 December 2014 for a stay in December 2014

Staying again at this gem of a cottage and it is as perfect as last year. Warm and welcoming, well equipped and spotlessly clean. Beautifully decorated, super comfortable bed and linen, electric Aga and 3D TV. Fast Wi-Fi and best of all a lovely log fire. Just a perfect Cotswolds retreat, I can see us visiting for years and years - just wish I could buy it!

“Cozy and Charming”
Reviewed 15 September 2014 for a stay in September 2014

The photos on-line capture the charm and tastefulness of this small cottage. Every need has been accounted for and there is not a spot of dust anywhere! I have never stayed in a cleaner rental. The location is good as you can walk to the next village or two and it is nice to be away from the tourist traffic. We had dinner one night at The Lord of the Manor just next door--formal but quite good. We also drove the northern loop of the Romantic Road; although we did not have the book, we found the route on-line. GPS is important if driving, but getting lost is half the fun. Thanks to Sarah for a lovely but too short stay!

It's incredibly rewarding to receive such a fantastic review so thank-you for your very kind comments. I've managed to track down the Romantic Road route you referred to and the maps are now in the cottage for future guests to use, it follows some of the prettiest villages in the area so thank-you for recommending it!

“Upper Slaughter a great place to stay”
Reviewed 10 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

I can only agree with all the positive things that are said about Yew Tree Barn, in regards to amenities and comfort. The cottage is just as described and photographed. However for us, staying in this beautiful little village which is purely residential, was the best part of our stay. Its central to all the other beautiful Cotswold villages which are very touristique, so it was wonderful to come back to this quiet haven in the afternoons.

“FAB-U-LOUS”
Reviewed 10 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

This property smacks of quality and charm, it has been decorated and furnished with taste and in keeping with the overall character of the barn. We stayed for two nights and were pleased with the very clean surroundings together with some lovely personal touches such as flowers and coffee and luxury soap that were provided. We will certainly be returning.
