A gem of a pub with lovely accommodation. Extremely helpful staff and a lovely atmosphere. Very cosy, great powerful shower and amazingly comfy bed. The lamb breast was delicious. Highly recommend and we will be back.

We dined here, celebrating a family birthday.

Restaurant was excellent. Wonderful food and service in a nice atmosphere. Easy to find and within a pretty Cotswold village.

Also noticed that the restaurant / hotel had a large courtyard to the rear and also a function room that would be great for larger events.

Would certainly recommend and visit again.

We spent two nights at the Lion Inn on what was my first visit to the Cotswolds. The décor is expertly stylish, enhancing the historical charm of the property. Our room was cosy and very comfortable. The meals are top quality but what was truly remarkable was the impeccable service of all the staff - a wonderful blend of professionalism and friendliness that made us feel so welcome and relaxed. I look forward to a return visit.

We stayed overnight whilst on a walking holiday in the Cotswolds. The rooms are excellent, refurbished to a great standard. The meals are brilliant, and the service by all of the staff is very friendly and efficient. Truly an excellent place to visit.

We loved our stay at the Lion Inn! Excellent room, comfortable bed, great game time in "the snug", and a tasty menu in the Lion's independent pub. Annie did a masterful job updating and renovating this centuries old property while maintaining the charm of its old bones. Her most important achievement though, was in her choice and the training of her staff. We were made to feel as if they were our own personal staff, ready to answer the bell and quickly and cheerfully fulfill any request. An exceptional blend of professionalism and friendliness that instantly made us feel comfortable and at home after a long day on the trail.

Have visited here a few times now with a few friends and family and I am yet to be disappointed. The food is top quality and clearly the chef has mastered the art of both presentation and flavour as all the meals we had were cooked to perfection. The decor is incredible and it has a mystical and historical feel to it. The only thing I felt let down by was the lack of welcoming from the staff. They were very distant through service and our meal was never checked back on even though everything was fine. All they had to do was smile and be a bit more friendly and it would be a faultless dining experience.

This was an incredible place to stay during a hiking trip that had me stay in 5 different hotels and B&B's over 5 days. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful and the food and drink were delicious as well. Michael was a huge help and was very entertaining to talk to. The room and bathrooms were very nice and there was also nice outdoor seating to enjoy the summer weather. Would highly recommend.
