Phil and Pams visit to relations part 2

What a find - Cathy you have a little gem of a holiday home. The lodge was ideal in every way for the two of us. Booking was easy, emails and telephone. Arrival was brilliant, key in security cabinet. Welcome package with cake (from local farm shop) yummy.... plenty of room for two, any more you would need to be very good friends. The mezzanine has paddle steps and are quite steep. Sower room with under floor heating, (might invest in that at home). Galley kitchen with all mod cons. Absolutely brilliant accommodation, if you get the chance when going to the New Forest give this lodge consideration. Very Highly recommended.

Beautiful Lodge and Definately return

The Lodge was beautiful and just perfect for a little break away.
Well decorated and all mod cons that you could ask for. Milk, tea and sugar provided on arrival with some muffins. Cathy was very friendly and checked we had arrived ok and there was nothing wrong with the accommodation. Easy booking and always returned an email if I had any questions. Cathy had provided a well organised book of things to do and places to eat, which we found very helpful.

Great big boot room to store bikes just opposite the main door to the lodge. very useful considering my partner is a keen cyclist.

New forest a 5 minute ride away at the top of the road, next to a pub. Food there is traditional pub grub, cheap and cheerful.

Lymington was a short drive away (suppose people could cycle there as the roads are accordingly to my partner - perfect for cycling on - I on the other hand preferred the drive), so you can catch the ferry to Isle of Wight - warning there though pre book it as we didn't have it was £56 which too me seemed a lot.

Recommend a little walk along the sea at Barton on Sea and stop in the café - beachcomber as it was idyllic and great views of the IOW.

Truly wonderful. A delightful little place.

What a little gem of a place this is!!! I imagine there has been a fair amount of money invested into this property because it's of such a high standard throughout. It doesn't have the feel of a holiday rental at all, it feels like a home. Wonderful shower as well - great after a long New Forest walk.
I would love to go back and have already recommended it to some of my friends.
Cathy is wonderful too! Thank you so much. We'll be back!

From the moment we contacted Cathy to enquire about availability our experience was warm and friendly. When we arrived we were greeted with a big grin and a congenial atmosphere. The location is excellent for accessing the New Forest (just up the road) or the coast; we cycled around both quite easily and thoroughly enjoyed our time there. The lodge itself is equipped with all the mod cons you would hope for and finished off well, with the beams adding a sense of cosiness in the evenings. We certainly welcomed the power shower after our long bike rides! If accessing the internet is a must you can do so on the free wi-fi, however the signal comes and goes and is a bit weak, but that aside we had a brilliant time at the lodge and would certainly recommend it to anyone.
