I recently had the pleasure of staying at Stattons Hotel, Number 4 Hotel and Florence House Hotel (sister hotels). All hotels are fantastic and I would highly recommend them for style, comfort and affordability but most of all service. The staff are excellent and go out of there way to make your stay an enjoyable one. I will definitely be staying with them again!

We drove from London to stay 1 night Friday in order to attend a parkrun (5k run) event which will now be every Saturday morning 9am starting on the seafront only 2 minutes away. The hotel boasts off street parking which is a plus in this busy area (although for large cars, manoeuvring in the car-park can be tight!) The room itself on the ground floor was v spacious and well-lit, the bed comfy and the TV large. The shower was good also. We arranged a continental breakfast at 7am to attend this race and the breakfast staff were very friendly. I can understand why this hotel would get booked up months in advance for the Great South Run, I would recommend it to others in returning to Portsmouth area!

Found this room on the Friday that I stayed, the room itself was lovely and the bathroom was very clean. I really enjoyed the stay and the staff were so friendly and helpful. The cooked breakfast the next morning in their lovely breakfast room was a delight and again staff were so friendly, will definitely stay again when in the area.

We stayed in room 3. It was exactly what we wanted. Comfortable bed, roomy shower. Decorated well. Nice location, friendly staff. Choice at breakfast was good, scrambled egg was ok, could of been looser and whisked better and seasoned - cooked fresh so you waited a while. We did the wine offer, it was lovely. Would come back !!

The hotel is in a great location in Southsea and has on site parking which is a great bonus in an area of narrow streets. many local attractions and we walked to the hovercraft terminal for a day trip to the Isle of Wight. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was first class.

Stopped here a couple of times recently, so I've stayed in more than one of the rooms. The place is spotless, very comfortable and well appointed. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the breakfast was excellent.
This is not my usual type of accommodation whilst working away but both of the rooms I stayed in were very comfortable with some nice touches, very clean and fresh. I love some of the furniture that's been collected for the hotel, the writing desk in the room on the ground floor is just ace!
The hotel also boasts a courtyard type car park which in the area is a big bonus as the roads are narrow and there are lots of resident only parking areas. This is another big positive.
Overall, I can't fault Stattons, it's excellent.
