It wasn't very good at all. Chana masala seemed to be watery and with no MASALA at all as if they are serving British food. Pilau Rice was also of average grade. Rice used was of low quality. Masala dall tasted spice-less. I will never order anything from them. This was my first experience with them.

I tried the a la carte menu which offers the new fish dishes. It was absolutley wonderful from the first moment it was served to me! Highly Recommended!

Trip Advisor, you led us astray - - for the first time ever! We were excited to try this restaurant based on the reviews, but the food was pretty terrible. We had the buffet on a Sunday night and everything on the menu pretty must tasted the exact same. No spice whatsoever - almost sweet instead. Bummer.

We're regulars at this restaurant having tried most of the indian restaurants along Albert Road. We started off having the buffet meal (very good value if you're merely hungry and brilliant value if you've got hollow legs) but decided to give our waistlines a rest and now order a la carte. The menu is fairly extensive and lists the usual suspects. We usually order chicken dishes and the meat is good quality and the curry very tasty. Portion sizes are just about right. They've just started offering sea bass and salmon dishes, which are delicious, although a recent salmon shashlick was rather powdery.
Service is friendly and efficient.. My only quibble with the food (and certainly not unique to the Monsoon) is that the side salad can be rather watery and consists of the usual iceberg/cucumber/tomato mix. Prices are very reasonable. Atmosphere is usually quiet which we definitely prefer (occasional noisy groups, but bearable). We generally find somewhere to park in the vicinity although our visits are usually after 10 pm. I would recommend the Monsoon for those who like a good quality regular curry.
