Having read, open-mouthed, the responses to earlier customers who found cause to complain, I was bitterly disappointed to be served a perfectly reasonable meal here by friendly staff. Though they questioned, on my arrival just before 9pm on a Sunday, whether the kitchen might still be open, they swiftly relented when I pointed out that the restaurant info stated that they would serve until 9.30pm unless there was no one else eating at 9pm. Thereafter, everything went well. Though the restaurant doesn't have the ambience of, say Pizza Express, my Sicilian seafood pasta arrived swiftly. It was slightly homogenous and might be improved by, say, a few mussels in their shells, but it was very good for the price and the portion was large. House wine is sold at a very reasonable price too. I followed with a cheese plate which was very reasonably priced considering it included a shot of port. The staff were attentive and friendly and we had a good chuckle about the owner's antics.
