What a fab place for all the family, we have a membership 3rd year in a row now, would be nice if the cafe was larger at the farm, although the tearoom is equally as nice, cakes could be better, but still loving it .

“Staunton country park”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 June 2014

Staunton country park is a listed Regency landscaped parkland and forest of approx. 1,000 acres in Havant, Hampshire.

Entry to the parkland is FREE. Dog friendly

There is also a paid for attraction of farm with various animals, glass houses and gardens.
Adults £7.50 oap £6.60 and child prices. Open 10am - 5pm daily.
cafe/tea rooms
On site parking - we paid £2 into the meter and had it refunded at the visitor reception
Toilets.

My review is for The Country Park only - x3 adults and our well behaved, well traveled dog.
We took a picnic.

On entering the park we soon came across "The Terrace". The only architechural feature of Stone's mansion which remains today.
Great views over the lake called Leigh Water. The lake is home to a number of islands.
We saw the Chinese bridge with x3 arches.

I fed the ducks swimming on the lake as we walked around.
Our dog even went in for a swim.

Continuing our walk we admired the Victorian Coach House.Restored in 1999, thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. In the yard there was a group of friendly disabled workers. Keen to talk to us and say hello to our dog.
Inside the Coach house was a staff room.Looked good for their tea breaks :0)

In a diffrent area there was a large play area. Many climbing things made from wood. Well cared for.
Picnik tables and benches all around the park.

There is also "The shell house and Beacon temple" which we did not see.

We spent about 4 hours in the park sitting, walking around and admiring the views.
Great fun, great for health in the great outdoors.
Brilliant for family and dog to spend time together.

“Such a lovely afternoon here”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 June 2014

What a lovely place to spend a sunny afternoon. Took our grandchildren and we all loved it. Animals to feed, several play areas inside and out. A maze, cafe etc. Reasonably priced with easy parking. Will definitely consider a season ticket!

“Beautiful”

Easy parking, not too expensive, across the road to access the Park which is free. Beautiful grassy area perfect for picnics and a large pond to walk around and feed the ducks. Lovely for a family day out.

A wonderful place to let children run around and enjoy themselves. Also to experience animals in the petting zoo.
