“Disgraceful”

Stayed there over bank hol weekend. Went with sun holidays and they should really consider taking then off the lists. It's not a family place at all, and they effectively don't care as long as they are getting there money from propel who books and don't realise how awful it is! It's not a family place at all and the sun holidays are promoted as family holidays. Arrived on the Friday to be told no entertainment and given bar vouchers. The caravan was awful but told no option to upgrade. We went to spend our vouchers on the Sunday and had to sit outside with a 19 month old in the wind as there was a private function and they had music so loud that it was deafening us! When we asked them to turn it down they laughed and turned it louder! Once want outside they clapped as they had got what they wanted and we had left! I was disgusted and others were also sat outside as they also must have felt intimidated by them. The owners just wanted to party and didn't care about their customers. In my eyes they took our money for entertainment and stole it as we couldn't enjoy that awful bar! In hindsight I should've checked reviews before I booked but in honesty I chose it as we wanted to take our little girl to peppa pig world and don't check the caravan site. Nearly put me off sun holidays but we has such a good site last year that I will try again but check reviews and upgrade!!

We stayed here for 3 Nights in July 2013 as we had to attend our Sons Graduation.
We arrived at site with our Caravan and reception were friendly and helpful, we had booked a hard standing pitch which at £36.00 a night was on the expensive side, however, it was a damn sight cheaper than what local hotels were charging for 2 rooms for 3 nights in Graduation Week!
We rove round to our hard standing, which was actually pebbles? manovered our van easily onto the pitch and were set up with a cuppa within 10 minutes.
The hard standing is adjacent to all the Seasonals and we soon got chatting with them, they were really helpful and pointed us in the right direction for anything we needed, in fact, we had a bit of get together with a few during one evening which was really nice.
The one site toilet/shower facilities were adequate, ok, not pristine, but they were clean and tidy, if anything I would just describe them as "Shabby", they really could do with a refurb.
The Club House "Nelsons" was nice enough, the staff were friendly and attentative and they served a nice beer, can't comment on the food as we did not order, but, what came out to others looked nice enough.
The location is the BIG selling point, from where we were pitched it was just a case of walking over the sand bank and we were on a glorious beach with fantastic views of the Channel, Solent and the Isle of Wight, it was brilliant just to sit there and watch The Maritime World go by, it did help that we were blessed with glorious weather during our stay though!
In conclusion, if you are used to pristine sites and are not willing to communicate with your temporary neighbours then this isnt the site for you, however we thought it was a lovely site with some lovely people that we would use again, however, it just needs a little love and investment to make it a GREAT site.
P.S. We left the car at site for our stay and used a Taxi company called Aquacabs (Another tip passed on by the Seasonals) to take us to and from Graduation/Restaurants/Shopping etc who were excellent, we never waited more that 15 minutes and they were very reasonably priced.

Stayed there 2/5/14 supposed to be for 3 nights but came back Sunday , couldn't stand another night , caravan was old & dated small portable with digi box an old converter heater was stuck on the wall and for this we paid £11 per night ,absolute rip of don't spend that at home , when we arrived we were told there's no entertainment for the bank hol weekend, so we were given vouchers to spend at the bar , no cash alternative was offered The bar was full of workman who appear to live on the site ,the language was appalling so were the bar staff Sunday we went to spend our vouchers On a meal and had to sit amongst a private function eating our dinner. the bar is so small and it's always packed with workman or owners , a few amusements most of them broken no grass, or trees on site only gravel beetween the vans. This site is not for families it should be owners only as they have no time for holidaymakers wish id read the reviews first seems the entertainments always getting cancelled ,it's got some terrible reviews ,when I complained I was told I hope it won't stop you coming back here I wouldn't go back if it was free worst site I've ever been on and the dearest. Came home early was glad to get home complete waste of money .

Stay away if you value your health and holiday happiness. I paid over £500, the week before was £250. The caravan was dirty, unkempt and uncomfortable,( i.e damaged seating and poor state of "provided bedding"). Site was run down, one toilet block was closed, The club house was like a "working mans" club, with families allowed, and, if you didn't mind the woman at the bar constantly swearing close to young children, then you may enjoy it, however the two televisions on differing channels were on so loud that maybe, hopefully they didn't hear the profanities.
I had a problem with my swipe card to the entrance, and I went to get it sorted. It was just out of hours, but as the lights were on and 3 people were visible in the portacabin office, I knocked several times, but was ignored. So I followed the "white van man" who was off to his permanent holiday home, and so I learned to dodge the bollards!.
The morning chorus was not just of seagulls and the Isle of White Hovercraft, but that of white vans and others leaving for work from 6.00am.

Room Tip: I wish I had reviewed this site before I went. But sadly I didn't. (Lesson learnt i won't ma...

I have just come back from a 3 night stay in a static van vp10 at Southsea leasure park. When i read the reviews i was in two minds to go or not but when we got there the van was fine and in a nice position next to the beach. The heating is an electric heater in the lounge that isn't up to the job, the hot water is also electric but gives plenty of hot water. The tv was very old with a freeview box but it buzzed while on so wasn't useable, if we had reported it iam sure it would have been sorted. We didn't use the clubhouse so i can't comment, give the site a go its not as bad as its made out to be.

We returned for our first sun holiday this year on 7th Apr and received the usual friendly greeting from Sue, Erica was on the other shift i think .Sue chatted with us and directed us to our caravan, which turned out to be one we had stayed in last year , on entering to our surprise the carpets and floor covering add all been replaced and toilet etc repainted ,and the van was spotless in every way .Another nice surprise we had was ,after we had settled in , a knock came on the door, and Paul introduced himself, he had come to make sure everything was to our liking ,and was there anything we needed or that he could get for us . There seems to be a lot of changes takeing place on the site , caravans being upgraded and older one's replaced with more modern one,s ,we were so satisfied and had such a good holiday ,we have book to go back again next month .
