“Lots to see, but can get crowded”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

The gateway to HMS Victory, HMS Warrior, the Mary Rose museum and the Royal Navy museum. Gets very crowded with school parties, but the RN museum is an island of calm and well worth a visit.

“A Very Full & Informative Day”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

I went on a group day ticket visit rather than the one year version. The new Mary Rose experience is absolutely fascinating; the start time is pre-booked but we were allowed to take our time visiting the three floors and talk to the informative and enthusiatic staff. HMS Victory & Warrior showed different stages in the development of the Senior Service and the M33 Monitor, finished in 'Dazzle' camouflage demonstrated later innovations. There are so many separate museums and a 'trip afloat' round the harbour, was included too. Unfortunately I ran out of time and energy. Lots of places to eat and being situated close to the Gunwharf & The Spinnaker Tower there are opportunities for other members of the family who may not be interested in Naval history. I will be purchasing a 'year ticket' as there is so much more to see and re-visit.

“So much to see”
Reviewed 11 June 2014

Great to soak in some naval history. The Mary Rose exhibition is head a shoulders ahead of all the others. Other exhibits could follow their example more.

“Interesting, informative, fun and great value for money”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Not just a day out in Portsmouth Historic Dockyard but a whole year. The tickets are valid for a year, which is just as well cos there is so much to see. Museums, ships and activity centres, plus a water taxi to gosport's submarine museum or a boat trip round the dockyard, whale island and gunwarf. They provide audio equipment to keep you informed around the ships and a map of the area. The boat trip is very informative too. I only spent half a day in the dockyard and am looking forward to going back.

I'm sure it covers the marine museum at eastney end of the sea front too.

“Mary Rose”
Reviewed 10 June 2014

Visited the Mary Rose exhibition which was excellent. Had a timed visit, and was allowed to walk around without a guide. All the family thoroughly enjoyed it. Would recommend.
