Description: Southsea's only record and pie cafe has launched in Castle Road, just off the seafront! Created by music and pie lovers, for music lovers, who maybe also like to do pie. You'll find the latest eclectic music releases on CD, vinyl and MP3, if we don't stock it we'll order it. Our cafe area will be serving a wide range of pies sourced from Buckwells of Osbourne Road, and Pie Minister, as well as hot and cold beverages. We also have plenty of poster art for sale. These are unique prints created for one gig only. If you consider yourself either a John Peel or an uneducated eel, you'll feel at home in Pie & Vinyl.

“A must if you are vegan or vegetarian”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

A really unique setting with very friendly staff. There were at least 2 vegan options on the main menu and a few more vegetarian ones also. There was also a whole host of vegan desserts supplied by Sweetie Pie of Portsmouth. If you want something different and a bit quirky then this is the place to go.

“Good, honest food”
Reviewed 5 August 2014

The name of this restaurant says it all. It's a vinyl shop which sells pies, no more, no less. But the pies are great, the fillings are all really inventive and I'd recommend having it as a meal which comes with minted mushy peas and mashed potatoes. The food is really reasonably priced too (about £5 per meal). The only piece of advice I'd give is if you're going at the weekend, expect to wait for a table. Even though they have expanded fairly recently, the popularity still seems to be growing and as a result, it's no easier to get a table even now that it's double the size.

“Loved it!”
Reviewed 30 July 2014 via mobile

Quirky and superb.

Fab range of pies (several of which I've never seen anywhere else), friendly staff, efficient service and quirky touches (cordial served in a tea pot!).

Was lovely to sit at a window table, be served gorgeous food and watch the world go by.

The icecream pudding was superb too.

Winning combination here. I was very impressed.

N.B. - no licence, so it's an alcohol free zone.

“Good for something different!!!!”
Reviewed 26 July 2014

A friend and I visited for the first time a couple of weeks ago, at first we were a little bit lost as to what to order etc however the member of staff was absolutely amazing, so friendly and approachable we chose a rhubarb crumble cake and the after eight pie. Both were delicious and we liked the quirky environment, couldn't fault our experience other then may not be able to garauntee what has been delivered. However, with such a nice variety there is sure to be something else to choose from! We plan to go back for a savoury option and take our husbands :-) x
