Since moving to southsea in January I have been struggling to find a decent Americano, but this place serves the best coffee! Situated at the end of our road, it’s now a regular stop for me especially as it’s dog friendly!!
Everyone is so friendly here, coffee and food are amazing!

So we had read the reviews and thought we’d try this out.
We managed to sit outside in the sunshine and ordered a breakfast.
Well we weren’t disappointed, the sausages were truly amazing, great mushrooms, choice of breads, egg bacon and tomatoes.
Had a pot of tea and a coffee as well.
Very polite staff, good service, reasonable prices.
Easy to miss this little gem but give it a try, you won’t be disappointed.

It's hard to be tucked away in this area in Southsea that always seems so vibrant with colourful characters, events and activities but it is more than with taking the time to seek out this little tea room opposite the old dance hall by the seafront.

It simply has everything you could want, a great variety of teas and coffees, a fantastic menu filled with fresh food that offers something a little different as well as a frankly naughty selection of home made cakes and desserts.

The place is packed with personality, half tea room, half art studio it was a fascinating place without feeling like a stuffy gallery. The staff were friendly and welcoming to customers of all ages and their pets. I chatted with the owner who is also the creator of the artwork, an interesting chap and Kyle who honestly looked like he was having the time of his life talking to customers about their locally sourced menu options - real passion.

All in all a great place to grab breakfast or lunch, somewhere interesting that is very confident in its identity without coming across as 'eccentric'.

Despite a limited menu, the sandwiches served were fantastic. The Brie and Bacon barn is a must with a cuppa. We sat near the back where there aren't the conventional chairs and tables so it was a tad discomforting in that respect, but without that quirkiness, you wouldn't appreciate the artistic atmosphere as much. Will definitely return, especially if and when there's live music.
