Spent two nights at this Premier Inn over Christmas and was thoroughly satisfied with everything. Staff were very friendly, location was excellent, room was impeccably clean and bed gave a good nights sleep. Attached Brewers Fayre restaurant also served good food and employed friendly staff.

Just spent a relaxing weekend at Premier Inn Southsea, just brilliant, peace, quiet, comfortable and clean. What a great way to spend a weekend in between Christmas and New Year. Will definitely stay again.

Was well looked after by staff over the Christmas period. Apologies for setting off the distress alarm in the middle of the night (I pressed it in error when wanting to switch on the light!!) Unfortunately, the disabled room I stayed in was very cold. The thermostat was a few inches from the heater. I was also quite shocked at the so called facilities for anyone disabled. The very low bed would have been a nightmare for anyone with a disability, whether in a wheelchair or not. The railings around the bathroom would not be of assistance for getting out of the shower/bath. However, I enjoyed my stay here. The building does not look much from the outside but is fine once inside. The staff are very welcoming and helpful.

We stayed here over night for a wedding in southsea. I have stayed in many premier ins so expected a certain level of service from the hotel. The hotel was as you would expect but what made the difference here were the staff. From reception to the cleaning staff to the restaurant staff the service was exceptional. The staff went over and above to make our stay memorable. Zoe on reception was fantastic and I would definitely chose to stay here again if visiting family in southsea.

I stayed here for one night, having stayed in Premier Inns several times before. I was a bit disappointed on three counts:

1. The wifi in my room suddenly stopped working during the evening and even next morning it wasn't working. I didn't bother to report it because it wasn't urgent but having paid money to use it, I would have been incensed if I had work to do and had been unable to do it.

2. The coffee in the restaurant was from an automatic machine as opposed to the jugs of freshly made coffee that seem to be in other Premier Inns. Despite the Costa logo on the machine, the coffee was weak and certainly not of the quality I've become used to.

3. There was a smell of mould in the room when I first walked in. Suspect a poorly ventilated bathroom, although I could find no sign of the offending growth.

Apart from that, it was the usual PI experience. The room was comfortable and clean, pillows fantastic as always.

Nice to stay here but check on reception if Breakfast is buffet as last time we stayed it was cooked fresh and was very good, this time however it was buffet and was terrible, bit disappointing as we were looking forward to it...

Well placed with sea views from restaurant. The building is nothing from the outside but is wRm and cosy inside with a direct link through to the Brewers Fayre next door. From the hotel it is a short stroll across Southsea Common to the shops in Palmerston Road and a similar distance to Gunwharf Quays outlet shopping. It is a pleasant wLk through Old Portsmouth to the Historic Dockyard for The Mary Rose Exhibition, HMS Warrior and The Victory.
