This was our base to explore the Historic Dockyard in Portsmouth and we're so glad we stayed there. Jozie was very helpful with tips on getting around, grocery shopping, and places to eat. We had the top floor flat, so we had a birds-eye view of the street and a great, quiet night's sleep.
Great location, no noise at nights, yet only one street away from the Pier.
Fabulous apartment, with too many home comforts to list!
Jozie and Steve are great hosts, Amy downstairs was lovely too.
There were lots of items Jozie had so generously provided like food and toiletry items.
Lots of information provided regarding local events, maps and points of interest.
Hope to return soon!....Ciao Jozie!
A spacious and delightful apartment not far from the sea front and bus stops. A warm welcome awaited us.The walk to the Historic Dockyard along the sea front takes in the history of Portsmouth . So much to see in the Dockyard itself, but also enjoyed the Cathedral.

I booked this two days before having looked at one of Josie's other places that was booked, she offered us this one which is above her own home in a large house. Don't be put off by the owner being close, after a really welcoming handover, she leaves you to it. The place is big and well equipped and it's a nice touch to make sure you have milk and breakfast on arrival so there's no need to immediately head off to the Tescos. The beach is a stones throw and we were lucky to have amazing weather. There's a bus to take you to town or the other end of Portsmouth (docks etc) but the walk is also good. At the end I left a shirt and jacket in the hotel and Josie posted it back at no charge - great host.
