This was my first stay at the Ibis Budget. I had stayed at the hotel previously when it was owned by another company and I paid about £30 a night. I had hoped that things had improved with Ibis taking over but no in fact it feels worse because I paid £56 plus £6 parking.
The mattress was so hard and lumpy and the pillows thin. 1 towel for 2 people. No tea making facilities. The sink was in the room. A see through shower door which could be embarassing if friends were sharing the room. A horrible toilet door which you had to slam to close. Would be much better if the hotel created a proper bathroom with a partition wall. We were on the third floor near the lift which was a big mistake as people were going to their room throughout the night shouting and running up the hall. Sound proofing was so poor, it sounded like they were in the room with us!
Shame there isn't a good nights sleep guarantee in this hotel!More
