Parking is very limited behind the hotel, but on weekends there's free on street parking from 6pm Sat to 12 noon Sundays. All the staff were very friendly - because of it's history, the hotel is very much like a rabbit warren, when trying to find your way around. It must have been a stupendous Inn in it's day; most of the oldness has been covered over, and the floorboards creak, there's a slight mustiness in the passageways, (but not the bedroom) the lift is out of the ark. Our room was large, with a lovely flat screen TV, plenty of pillows, bed was comfy, room was clean. The bathroom was small but modern, with just two small bars of soap. There was tea and coffee left out, with a kettle. No hair dryer.
Breakfast was excellent, and once again the staff were friendly and helpful.
For the convenience of being in the centre of town near all the restaurants and shopping area it was ideal.More
