“Could do better...”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 November 2013

The place itself has masses of charm and could be a real gem.

The orders were placed at the bar and we then waited the best part of an hour in spite of there being very few other tables occupied. Sadly one of our meals was then forgotten and then when it was brought out looked totally different to another one which was supposedly the same - it looked better actually but then left us wondering if the first one had been prepared properly.

The child's macaroni cheese was delicious but the macaroni cheese on the hot dogs was quite tasteless.

The one major plus was the hot dog buns were yummy!

We might well give this place another go but they need to try harder.

Trago L, Manager at Trago Lounge, responded to this review, 3 November 2013
Thank you for your review of your experience. Allow me to start by apologizing for it being less than satisfactory. We here at Trago, and the lounges collectively, always strive to go beyond the customers expectation so to hear we have been any less than impressive is something we take seriously.

As i unfortunately do not know the date/time of your visit i can only apologize and speculate on the facts you have provided.

Food wait times with-in the lounges allows a maximum of 20 minutes per ticket for food to arrive at your table. This is per individual ticket/transaction and not per table. These times may increase during busy periods and customers should be informed accordingly. sometimes it may not seem busy at the time you order but there could still be a backlog from a recent busy spell. Again, this is just speculations but will hopefully offer some explanation as to the wait period you experienced.

We would very much like you to come back and allow us to show you the proper way to 'lounge'.
If you get hold of us here at trago in person or via email trago@thelounges.co.uk we will be able to issued a invitation for a return visit.

“Trago Lounge - could be excellent”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 23 October 2013

Trago Lounge is very comfortably furnished for a laid back drink and/or meal.
It has an extensive menu and caters very well for vegetarians, vegans and coeliacs.
The trouble is that the food can be really very nice but we have eaten there when the
dishes seem a bit dried out - with a little more attention the well thought out menu could be
really good. The cooking is a bit haphazard.
The staff sometimes flounder - I think this could be a training issue.
We like the choice of tapas and the relaxed atmosphere.

“Extremely disappointing”
1 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 21 October 2013

Went into the Trago Lounge for brunch on a monday afternoon around 12.
Went up to order our food as it said to do, and was greeted by a blunt and obnoxious chef, and two rather rude waiting staff where we were told to wait: they were busy serving other people.

My partner ordered a Strawberry Milkshake which they didn't have in stock so had a vanilla one instead. I ordered a Hot Chocolate Regular size.

The milkshake arrived first and I had to wait around 20 minutes before getting my 'Regular' Hot Chocolate, which was served in a double espresso cup and tasted more of warm milk than hot chocolate. Considering the wait, I expected it to be the best Hot Chocolate I'd ever tasted. (it was NOT!)

Our food took around half an hour to arrive to the table and again was disappointing, with cold mushrooms, fatty bacon and lukewarm baked beans (we should of stayed at home).

All in all our visit to the Trago Lounge was extremely disappointing, with rude staff and a dead atmosphere. I can assure you we wont be returning.

“Great, just a shame about the food!”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 20 October 2013 via mobile

Lovely decor and laid-back feel, and lots of table-top activities to keep little ones entertained. Just a shame that the food wasn't great. Fish and chips and hot dog were tasteless and not particularly cheap
. We'll go again, however maybe just for cake!

“Over rated”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 16 October 2013

We took our daughter here for an early lunch last Saturday. We were in a hurry so asked if the food was served quickly. We were told that it was. However, it took 30 minutes. We were told by the Manager that when we placed our order they were not busy, but then more people arrived , so our food took longer. By the time it arrived our daughter had left for a meeting ! My panini was over cooked and bad value for money.
