I enjoyed my stay at Travelodge Southampton very much. I usually find Travelodge is good quality at a very good price - and I'm happy to say that this trip was no different. The room was of a good quality, in that it was very clean and fresh and well looked after. Service was brief, but sufficient.

Good location in Southampton. Nice clean rooms, but car park is too small.
Was a hot day and a fan had already been put on in the room for our arrival. Coffee from the vending machine was good quality.

The hotel was located in the right place for were i need to be, however the only downside was that the Room I was in was located next to a busy road was like the M25. And there was no Air Conditioning and it was really really hot was sweating all night

The room was clean and comfortable. Facilities were the same as you'd get in Travelodge. Unfortunately, the hotel is located on a very busy road junction and we happened to be staying on a warm night, meaning had the Windows open. The traffic noise was incessant - lying awake at 3am, I was amazed at the amount of traffic passing by at that time. I hardly slept a wink.

We arrived at Travelodge hotel asking for a room. We found out that there was absolutely no place left in whole southampton to stay for a night. Julia from Travelodge hotel helped us, made over 15 phonecalls to all sorts of places and finally she found a place to stay for us. We are so thankfull she helped us out, great service and very helpfull staff. thank you Julia!!!

We stayed last night at this Travelodge. The welcome and check in was fine. The room was fairly clean apart from a couple of hairs in the bathroom. I know it has been exceptionally hot, but the room was stifling and had only two small windows in the bedroom and one small window in the bathroom. We had Room 301 directly over the main entrance and so had to contend not only with noise from guests outside smoking and drinking and returning from their evening out, but also the tremendous traffic noise from the traffic light controlled crossroads that the Travelodge is sited on. During the night we were continually woken up by noisy guests and a group who were outside the lodge for about an hour (four people shouting, drinking, screaming, yelling in the bus stop). I heard guests banging on the windows at them and someone asked them to be quiet. After about one hour I heard the Receptionist asking them to move on, which they did.
We had stayed on a Sunday night in March in a room overlooking the car park and our stay was much more pleasant. Definitely won't be returning!!

We stayed here the night before a cruise and were on the ground floor at the front of the hotel. The room was fine, styled in the usual Travelodge way but with great big windows which made the room feel light and airy. A nice touch was a desk fan as it was a warm night. We left the window open all night and didn't find the noise a problem although some people might.
The hotel is quite a walk from the city centre so if your not up for the walk (about 20mins) you will have to get a taxi, as it was a warm sunny evening we walked into the city and back. If you go via Bedford Place (a long street leading to the city) you will find plenty of lively pubs, bars and places to eat.
Check in was fine and the staff were friendly but during the evening and the next morning we were in and out a lot and the desk was mostly empty and with no bell if you needed to speak to somebody you had to shout to see if anyone was in the back office.
Overall, one of the better Travelodge rooms we've stayed in.

Room Tip: The nearby Bedford Place area is great for a night out or a meal.
