I stayed here for one night before I ran conference the next day.
The exterior of the building is dated, reception area, restaurant and bar have obviously been refurbished recently. The room I had looked tired and dingy, I had to turn on every lamp in the room to make it seem brighter. I spotted an old chocolate wrapper left by a previous guest on one of the shelves of the bedside cabinet. In the morning when I had a shower and moved the shower curtain I noticed the bath had not been cleaned- there was still soap residue left from a previous guest. However, I did have a good nights sleep.
On a positive note, the service at the bar was very good, food and drink arrived promptly and it was of good quality. Breakfast was also very good.
The gentleman who was in charge of looking after the conference room was brilliant, I think his name was Adam. Nothing was too much trouble and his customer service was fantastic, breaks and lunch were well organised and he made sure delegates with special dietary requirements were well looked after. If the manager of the hotel reads this I think he deserves to be recognised for his good work.More
