My partner and I booked a room for one night at this hotel on 10 December having read the reviews on TA. As I suffer very badly from arthritis I booked a disabled adapted room. We were allocated a large room with a very spacious bathroom.
Everything was fine until I went to bed. During the night I needed to go to the bathroom, but as the bed was very low I had to wake my partner to help me out of the bed. The same happened when I got up in the morning.
I mentioned it to the receptionist who said that the beds are all 'generic' and the height is for wheelchair users. I understand the logic behind it, but was not very helpful to me as a non wheelchair user.
In all fairness, the hotel was very clean and the staff were helpful. However, on Monday I spoke to Premier Inn Customer Service who said she would ask the hotel manager to call me. A week has elapsed and there has been no phone call.
