Booked 2 rooms, 1 double and 1 disabled (wet room bathroom). Location was excellent, hotel nice and modern. Restaurant looked good but was so busy could not get a table in the evening.

Only gripe was noise from outside. The double room faced the front of the hotel and the disabled room faced the rear of the hotel.

My mother in law staying in the front facing room complained about noise from workman on a site across the road. The rear facing disabled room suffered from noise from the rear entrance to the hotel which seems to double as the smokers hang out. You could overhear the smokers conversations with the room windows shut and could hear the lorries in the early hours of the morning making their deliveries to the hotel.

Stayed here on business for two nights and was just expecting an average chain-hotel experience but from the moment we arrived it just had that extra something. The staff were really friendly, the room was big, clean and quiet and the restaurant area was great. Breakfast was very good with a great, fresh, hot selection as well as the usual continental items and access to both the city centre and the port (where our conference was) was fantastic. Would 100% reccommend this hotel to anyone.

Premier inn seems to be a fast rising discount hotel chain! We stayed 2 days after-cruise and one day pre-cruise and indeed they should be fast rising! As other reviewers have already reported, good value, very nice staff, good food, excellent price, could not find anything that was substandard or unsatisfactorily except the on-line booking was never confirmed for both stays.

Just returned from this Premier Inn and can not fault it. Spotless rooms, helpful staff with a special mention for kevin, nothing was too much trouble. Did not find thei parking a problem, right next door with a discount if you stay at inn.

At last, a decent hotel in Southampton, and at a more than reasonable price! Having tried most of the local alternatives in the "under £100" price bracket, it was a welcome surprise to find this new Premier Inn in the West Quay complex for £46.99 including breakfast. An even nicer surprise was the quality of the hotel itself, and the attentive service (almost too attentive). The room is tastefully furnished in the usual Premier Inn style, and is spacious and clean. The breakfast is outstanding, especially the cooked-to-order vegetarian leek sausages. If I were splitting hairs, the bathroom floor creaked slightly and the scrambled egg was overcooked, but that's about it. For the price, it's impossible to have any complaint.

I stayed for 2 nights in a twin room. Lovely and quiet even though we were on floor one over the main entrance. The breakfast is fantastic value for money and good quality. The staff were very helpful and welcoming. I would stay again!
