My family and i decided to go christmas shopping in southampton for a change. We chanced upon this hotel when we were planning this and got a bargain room in their sale for £19.This hotel was only built in 2011 and this is reflected it its style.
The accomodation was excellent, the bed was really comfy and sleeping was not really a problem, apart from some noise which could be heard from the main road outside, which is unusual for a premier inn as they normally have triple glazing. However, this did not unduly affect my nights sleep.
The restaurant was packed on a friday night and we could not get a table until 9pm.I have never stayed in a premier inn where the in-house restaurant was so popular. The food was good value and enjoyable.
i must mention Alice who was on duty when we checked in.She is a beacon of excellent customer service-She helped us check in, she went out of her way to find out the availability of the restaurant and rang to let us know when a table would be free, made our reservation for us and also brought up additonal pillows when requested-Nothing was too much trouble for her or indeed other staff.
The hotel was situated across the road from the shopping centre and can be easily reached either on foot or via the free bus from the station. i would willingly stay there again.More
