Amazing staff, spotless, nice dinner, fantastic breakfast, what more could you ask for from a budget hotel.
We stayed for one night passing through, we are a family of 5 and this hotel accommodated us beautifully!

Another good stay at Premier Inn. Great location and the car park is excellent value at £5 for 24 hours. The room was clean and quiet. We like to take advantage of the Sunday night offers and add the meal deal to our stay. We can't fault this, it's great value for money. It was a busy evening and breakfast in the restaurant and the staff coped very well. Everyone was so friendly and especially the girls at Reception. We would definately recommend this hotel.

Premier Inn Southampton West Quay is a basic, generic, average hotel. The staff were friendly and helpful. The lobby was small and often crowded. Premier Inn Southampton West Quay has kiosks for a front desk, so don't arrive with your hands full: There's no place to put anything down. As you check in, your luggage will be in the way of traffic flow.
Premier Inn Southampton West Quay, however, is very conveniently located near the National Express bus depot. My bus picked me up at Heathrow, so it was very easy. The hard part is knowing which way to walk. Walk away from the Toys-R-Us and toward the new mall (& Ikea, I think).
From the hotel, it was a quick walk to the pier where our Celebrity cruise started.
Premier Inn Southampton West Quay is also close to lots of shopping.
I would stay here again as a waystation because of its location. There was nothing bad about it.

Room Tip: Away from the street. The beeping from the pedestrian street crossing signal is quite annoying.

This is our second visit, and as before exactly what you expect from a premier inn! Rooms are clean and have tea/coffee making facilities! Bring your own toiletries as only handwash and shower gel provided!
In a great location- right next to the west quay shopping centre, this is where you park, get your parking ticket validated at reception and its £5 per day! Only 15 minute walk to the high street for selection of restaurants! Don't make mistake we did and order takeaway from Balti express- disgusting takeaway and rude owner!! (Separate review) We had room service on our second night from thyme restaurant and the food was very good. Breakfast too was good although we are vegetarian and customers were using the tongs etc to pick up meat then leaving in mushrooms etc! We mentioned this to serving staff and for next 2 mornings they brought our breakfast out to the table with vegetarian sausages, mushrooms and eggs already plated! The service here is fantastic! Every member of staff from the check in, bar staff, waiters and waitresses are fabulous- helpful, polite and above all friendly and smiling. Just wish all hotels had such good service!!! If in Southampton again would definately stay here and recommend to anyone wishing a night or 2! We were travelling to the Isle of Wight- only a 2 minute drive to the ferry terminal!

Stayed here for just one night and we usually stay at premier inns so we love how clean and fairly priced it is. Never eaten at any of the premier inns before until this time. We decided to order up to the room and on the menu it says that you can get pizza for room service. We found out that they don't do this but we can go down and order food and bring it back up. We did this and paid for our food. They said it would be about 15 mins and that they would call is on the room phone. An hour later we still hadnt received a call. We went down and they apologised and said that the phone didnt work?? Yet they had our room no. Anyway they offered us a couple of drinks for an apology. All was well until we looked at the food. Worst pizza I have ever had! It was horrible. Stay at this hotel but stay clear of the restaurant ! There are plenty of nice restaurants in town!

Stayed here with husband and son for one night. First impressions very good, staff were welcoming and even though we used self check in,they still confirmed if any assistance was required. Bedroom was spotless and well made-AC was a fantastic extra to have. Plenty of choice for food in the area and shops nearby. Will be coming back.

Third time in a Premier Inn. This was the newest and best by far. £156 for two nights family of 4 including breakfasts. We had a family room on the 5th floor, it was silent and best of all air conditioned. It was 30+ outside and the relief was unbelievable as was the superb comfort due to setting the air con to 19 degrees at night. Breakfasts good but get there early on a cruise day as it gets packed out from 8.30am onwards. We ate in the attached restaurant on our second night and it was superior to the usual poor service of attached beefeaters. Good, helpful staff and timely service. I only look for Premier Inn these days.

Room Tip: The higher the quieter.
