Stayed overnight prior to catching ferry to Isle of Wight. Our party had 3 rooms which were all excellent as expected with Premier Inn. The big let down was the on site restaurant. The service at dinner was very slow (main course about 90 mins from ordering and no apology or offer of a free drink while waiting). When the food came it was generally average to poor (one diner said the worse steak ever tasted!). Breakfast was chaotic and the restaurant seemed too small to cope with the number of people staying at the hotel

Would stay there again but eat out

Stayed three nights with my partner, having previously stayed before we knew our stay would be a pleasant one.
It's a perfect location for shopping lovers who spend all day roaming the town - along with a vast amount of eateries.
Our room was always cleaned and towels were replaced. The only thing with premier inn rooms is that the tv is not really in the best position, and gave us neck ache watching from in bed. It's a minor moan considering we weren't there to watch the box!
The only negative point for this hotel is that although they have quite a bit of spare space at the back of the hotel, there is no parking. You have to park in the multi storey at a cost of 5 quid per day.

This premier inn was fabulous, clean modern and extremely comfortable. There was no overhead noise or noise from neighbouring rooms. It is in a great location for shops and restaurants although the majority of these close quite early. The premier inn has its own restaurant which is very good .

Rooms were a good size, air conditioning was controllable and windows opened so could get fresh air. I asked for a quiet room and got one at the back on the 5th floor which was quite quiet. Reception staff were very friendly and breakfast staff coped well in hordes of people all arriving at the same time

You know what you're getting with Premier Inn - the rooms are always clean & it's a pleasant experience. We've stayed here a few times & have always had a good experience. This time we were on the other side of the building & there was an annoying barrier alarm (we think that's what it was) going off a lot in the morning, but we shut the window & it wasn't so bad.

Hotel was nice and clean, and you felt safe as the lifts could only be actioned with a room key card.
I would advise making sure a table is booked for dinner on arrival, and be aware that they do not start serving food until 6pm! This might cause problems for families with young children as we had gone down at around 5-5.15pm for a meal and advised that they didn't serve until 6pm so said we would have a drink and wait, it was only around 45mins later when a different staff member entered the front of the restuarant that it become apparant that tables are pre-booked as was advised the next available table would be 8.15pm! Not on when we had been there since 5pm waiting.
Parking is in the the West Quays shopping centre which i didnt realise until I received an email before travelling, and although only next to it, it is still a way for a disabled person who had a car packed completely for an onward journey and a scooter not easily accessible for the overnight stay.
Breakfast was good with a self service, again pre-booking advised as it was very busy.
All in all I would stay here again but would recommend maybe the hotel serves food from 5pm.

Myself, my boyfriend, and family chose this hotel for 1 night as we were seeing a show at the Mayflower Theatre and wanted to do some shopping at WestQuay - this hotel was in perfect location for quick access to both of these - a 10min walk to the Mayflower & literally a 1min walk to the shopping centre - perfect!

Check-in and check-out was quick and seamless and we were always served by friendly receptionists. They were also really helpful by keeping our luggage in their back room as we arrived very early in the morning before check-in. They just give you a ticket for your luggage in order to collect it when required, so quite safe.

Breakfast the next morning was great, we all had the full English which was very tasty. There were other breakfast options such as toast, pastries, cereal & yoghurts. The lady seating us for breakfast was also very friendly which really makes a difference.

All in all I couldn't fault it, a great stay in a great location for a great price!
