A very good choice of shops to cater for all tastes; handy parking and walk through to the centre. Large branches of John Lewis and M&S and plenty of coffee places.

We have been to West Quay several times before. It offers something for everyone and is the perfect shopping experience! There are some great places to eat inside from Pizza Hut and Pizza Express to Nando's and McDonalds. We chose to eat at Harry Ramsdens which I would recommend as the fish and chips were really nice! The shopping centre is easy to get to from the Red Jet terminal as there is a free bus which drops you off right outside.

A great shopping centre with stores such as Oasis, New Look, H&M, Accessorize, GAP, Schuh, John Lewis etc, with a food court on the top floor (Wagamama's, Nando's, Cafe Rouge, Yo Sushi). Good for a day trip.

Parking is horrifically expensive though.

Day trip to Southampton on the bus lets you see the area better than by car. The West Quay shopping centre has everything under one roof. The choice is endless, not to mention the food court which is varied and well set out. The town high street has all the big names (and some small ones) and is guarded by an imposing castle gate and walls. A nice walk to the ferry port is further enhanced by pavement plates with quotes from the great and good of years gone by. A nice place to visit steeped in maritime and naval history.

I have again today been shocked by the queues to pay to leave the car park. To pay by card is a long slow painful process. To find a machine that actually works to full capacity is the exception not the rule, and when I've commented to staff, I'm always told the same- they're waiting for a part!! (Months?)
It's clearly states what time the car park closes, yet on more than one occasion I have taken my car from another car park to collect my food from m&s collect by car and not been able to get in as the barriers have been put down early. The responses I get are 'well they shouldn't have been'! Whatever company runs the parking should be embarrassed and disgusted with themselves and start to stop making what should be an enjoyable shopping experience such an inexcusable farce.
