Me and my boyfriend visited here last week, we struggled to find somewhere to eat in Portswood on a busy Saturday evening but with a wait of 30 minutes without previous booking, we decided to stay here, encouraged by a free beer !!

We opted for the sharing set menu 1 which included 2 starters, 2 curries with rice, poppadum's and a naan bread for £26.90 which we felt was a reasonable price as we couldn't even finish it all we were so full !!!!! It was delicious food though and best chicken tikka masala from my experiences as wasn't too spicy and had a lot of flavour !!!

We had good customer service but we thought that this element of the restaurant could do with improvements - perhaps another waiting staff as some tables we saw had to wait a long time for food and the staff seemed very stressed out as they were so busy.

Congrats to the chef, apparently he is only 22 - very impressive - he will do well !!

Gandhi used to be one of the better curry houses in Soton but it seems to be struggling to keep up thier good standards. The take away i had on two weeks back was bland and tasteless

A great choice of curries from the usual, to thali and bwal fish dishes (think that's spelt right). Service was great with enthusiastic and happy staff - thanks Josh, we'll certainly be back.

The restaurant is well laid out and nicely decorated. The service is good with friendly staff. The menu and prices are what you would expect from a traditional curry house. Well worth a visit.

You know when you go out in a group that you expect to wait a bit, but 2 & 1/2 hours, come on, really!!!
Table was booked for 8pm and we arrived on time, it took 25 minutes before they even took the drinks order and an hour before we even got any popadums or they could be bothered to take to food order. At no point did any of the three waiters come over and apologise for the wait or even keep on top of the drinks order we constantly had to ask for drinks it was quicker to get up and go to the bar. Between courses we had to sit with used plates and glasses as nobody came a cleared the table, intact in the end I gave up and cleared it myself. When the food did arrive there waiters were rude and surly. This is not the first time that this has happened the service is so poor, which is a real shame as the food is always good. Come on you have the potential to be a fantastic restaurant but let down by poor customer service.
