Ideal location, within easy walking distance of the port, shopping centres and the Mayflower Theatre. Basic room, clean and well maintained. The windows are triple glazed so you do not realise you are on a busy road. The breakfast was of a good standard. For a budget hotel this hotel gets top marks mainly because of the excellent reception and resturant staff, they are all friendly and helpful and nothing is too much trouble. My only complaint is having to pay for car parking.

My husband stayed here many times whilst working in Southampton and I would often join him in his stays there. Great reception-who will do all they can to help make your stay a good one. Great clean rooms. (We always like Premier Inn as they have a high standard of cleanliness) Good size room and good sized and comfy beds and pillows.
The Hotel also has a restaurant and Bar on the upper floors. This is cosy and relaxing.
great central location and very close to central shopping.
The only downside is that there can be road noise at the front and train noise at the rear. We found the front rooms best!! -Did not affect our sleep at all though.
We loved this Hotel alot! Highly recommend for a cheap and comfortable stay.

Room Tip: in our opinion front rooms are best!

Hotel was fine - exactly what i booked, comfortable room and quiet - slept like a log although absolutely starving.

Booked table in restaurant for 19:30hrs but at 20:50 hrs main course was still not served - excuse, only one chef on that night - not happy, don't usually moan on these sites but this one was very poor in the restaurant. Might stay at the hotel again but would eat out.

Very friendly and helpful staff - good location - within walking distance of Southampton City Centre for shopping. Meal deal is a good option with plenty of choice for both evening meal and breakfast. Accommodation clean and comfy.

The premier inn in Southampton is a very reasonable priced hotel. It is comfortable and clean and a reasonable breakfast in the morning. Whichever part of the country it is a good fairly priced place

Room Tip: try and get a room that looks over the solent

Premier Inn Southampton is in a good location for both the city (less than 10 mins walk) and the quays (20 mins walk).

The good:
The hotel and the rooms are basic, but clean. The heating in my room wasn't working... when I mentioned it to reception, they gave me a portable electric heater which did the job. They offered free wifi in the room, which many 4 and 5 star hotels don't.

The bad:
At the time of booking, I added a note, requesting a room on a high floor, but was given a room on the 1st floor. They might have been fully booked on all 5 (maybe 6?) floors, but if that was the case, why didn't they say something.
